Aisleyne is "Up Up and Away" this morning. She will be taking a balloon trip to publicise a campaign to save Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield.

The event has been organised by Aisleyne's friend Andrew Charalambous (Dr Earth, Surya Centre, Club4Climate, London Greek Radio, property tycoon, politician etc etc etc)

"She flies like a bird in the Sky-y-y-y....."

Good for her. Was actually in that very hospital last week, although after all the pain (including the small amount I'm still moaning about), maybe I should want it closed

The hot air balloon was at a sports ground by the A10, nearby to the hospital. Unfortunately conditions proved to be too windy for safe launch in what is relatively built up area - apparently a pair of Landrovers weren't able to hold the balloon in check at around 20 feet off ground. So all photo-opportunities took place around the basket only.

I gather Aisleyne gave an interview to local TV.

What a shame the launch didn't go ahead. I'm sure Aisleyne would have been gutted. Plenty of wind. Hospital nearby in case of injuries. Perfect for a launch one would think.

Excellent! Good to see a local TV station starting up like this, esp. now ITV has reduced a lot of its local news coverage.

I think Ash was wearing that leather jacket she got at the Ed Hardy launch :-)

No fresh news, but a good interview. Credit to Aisleyne for supporting another good cause.
