Shadow Lounge Birthday 15 July 2010
Aisleyne's fanbase is, of course, a very diverse constituency, and includes her being held up as a gay icon. So it was no surprise that on July 15th she was a VIP guest at the 9th birthday party of the Shadow Lounge, the Soho club which is one of London's leading gay venues.
Among the celebs were some of Aisleyne's fellow BB graduates such as Nadia Almada, Gerry Stergiopoulos and Marco Sabba, and she also met up with her very good friend, fashion guru Henry Holland, who later tweeted her a very cute pic of the pair of them.
Earlier in the afternoon, Aisleyne had had a meeting with another fashion designer, and she had invited him to join her and one of her girlfriends for the evening's festivities. He also provided her with the rather special jumpsuit she wore to the event, and he must have been delighted with the resulting publicity she won for his design. "Aisleyne takes the plunge" said one headline, which gives a strong clue to the outstanding feature of the garment, namely a VERY daring neckline, which the Sun described accurately as "slashed to the belly button".
The outfit also provoked a lot of comment from other online and print media, including Now, Heat, 3am and the Daily Sport. We were amused to note once again that opinions for and against seemed to follow very closely the "usual" respective editorial lines where Aisleyne is concerned! In any case they clearly couldn't ignore her!
On leaving the Shadow Lounge Aisleyne continued her evening at Bungalow 8, where the paparazzi were happy to take further (profitable!) snaps.

'Pimp' Film Premiere 19 May 2010
Aisleyne had a more than usually eventful evening recently when she attended the premiere of the Danny Dyer film "Pimp" on May 19th at the Odeon Covent Garden.
Even before the event she had already made headlines when sections of the press announced that local authorities and police had "banned" her from arriving at the event "on a unicorn"! Heatworld even mocked up a picture of Aisleyne with said mythical beast.
Now we DO know that there are pictures elsewhere on this website of Aisleyne on horseback at a ranch in Texas, and on a camel in Morocco, so why not a unicorn in Covent Garden?
In keeping with the film's gritty theme - the seedy underside of Soho life - the dress code suggested was "pimps and hoes", which VIP guests were invited to interpret as they felt inspired. Now as we know, Aisleyne has tended towards a more demure look in recent times. On this occasion we might say that she met the dress-code half-way by wearing a striking - and VERY short - gold dress (from Arrogant Cat), a pair of Lipsy shoes and a pony-tail hairstyle.
Anyway, Aisleyne had to arrive without unicorn but as she set foot on the red carpet in front of the Odeon she was suddenly grabbed from behind by a hooded figure. Fortunately the two attendants maintaining the guest list were nearby. They reacted quickly and pulled the attacker off Aisleyne and she fled into the Cinema, shaken but thankfully unhurt. Happily, she'd recovered enough to go on a planned short trip to Cannes the next day.
Other celebs attending, who escaped the attentions of any hoodies, included Ash's pal Imogen Thomas, Sophie Reade and (dressed as a bunny-girl) Bianca Gascoigne.
One thing's for sure, you never can tell what might happen when Aisleyne has a night out..

"The Infidel" Film Premiere 08 April 2010
"Everything comes in threes", they say, and so it proved when Aisleyne
attended her third film premiere in as many weeks on April 8th.
After "The Bounty Hunter" in the West End and "Shank" in Brixton, this time
Aisleyne, together with her girlfriend Brooke, headed for Hammersmith where the
red carpet was rolled out at the Apollo for the premiere of "The Infidel".
This
"comedy of ethnic proportions" was written by David Baddiel and stars (among
others) Matt Lucas (as a rabbi!) and Omid Djalili as a muslim who discovers he
is actually Jewish!
Aisleyne certainly enjoyed the evening and the film. "We had the BEST night!
I highly recommend that you watch it, it's hilarious!"
It goes without saying that Aisleyne had the snappers snapping as she posed
her way along the red-carpet in a short but sophisticated ruched dress in
midnight-blue with feature shoulder-pads. At the far end of those long legs - or
"toned gams" as one observer put it - were some grey peep-toe boots which are
very much the "footwear du jour", we understand. Both items from River Island,
by the way. Her hair was styled in an asymmetric loose updo of the kind she has
favoured on a number of her recent outings.
There was a large turnout of celebrity attendees. Stars from the film itself
included writer David Baddiel and Omid Djalili, and a wider comedy roll-call
included Ruby Wax, David Mitchell, Frank Skinner and Miranda Hart. Another Big
Brother representative was BB10 winner Sophie Reade who was there with her "good
friend" George (son of Gary) Lineker. Aisleyne's recent "restaurant hosts"
Vanessa Feltz and Ben Ofoedu were there too - but we have no information on
whether the subject of "transport caffs" was discussed!
Also among the stars attending was Aisleyne's friend Dizzee Rascal. "We had a
nice long catch-up chat, 'cos we hadn't seen each other for a while", Aisleyne
told us. She didn't say whether they had told each other to "fix up look sharp"
though.
Aisleyne also thoroughly enjoyed the after-party, even though she remained
strictly sober as she had driven to the event (in her brand-new black Mercedes
SLK - lucky girl!). Which is probably just as well, as that did mean she was
level-headed enough to cope with some strong advances by a certain professional
footballer who was VERY keen to wine and dine her and, well, you get the
picture. But of course Aisleyne has frequently been quoted as saying that she
doesn't want to be a WAG. Sorry lads!

"Shank" Film Premiere 17 March 2010
It was a case of another week another movie premiere for Aisleyne on March
17th, when she took to the red carpet once again. It was, however, quite a
contrast to the previous week's West End outing to see "Bounty Hunter" as she
travelled to Brixton's Ritzy cinema to the premiere of "Shank".
This is a gritty
urban film set in a decaying future London, where territory is controlled by
roving gangs, who battle over control of food.
The film has created a lot of interest and comment, with its use of humour,
grime music and special effects mixed in with high drama and some violent scenes
- the overall effect being a strong message against knife culture - a cause very
close to Aisleyne's heart of course.
It stars Ashley (Bashy) Thomas, Adam Deacon and Kaya Scodelario (from Skins)
and introduces an outstanding 14 year old actor called Kedar Williams-Stirling.
For the occasion Aisleyne wore a black top and tight black leggings, both of
which were patterned with up-to-the-minute studs - the outfit came from River
Island. And fashion became the topic for the night for Aisleyne, as a couple of
video interviews highlighted. Online retailer very.co.uk featured her prediction
that "tribal prints" would be on trend for Summer 2010, and the News of the
World contrived to spin a rather contrary headline out of Aisleyne's remarks
expressing her oft-repeated admiration for her idol Mariah Carey!
Aisleyne was delighted to meet Bashy at the premiere. She told us "I thought
he played his part really well"
She already knew the film's director, Mo Ali - he directed the music video in
which she appeared prior to Big Brother 7. She was also able to catch up again
with Terry Stone who co-produced the film.
And finally of course Aisleyne also knows Adam Deacon (who plays Kikz) from
Charlie Brooker's "Dead Set" where he played the part of 'Space' - who met a
grisly fate when he was attacked and bitten by a wild zombie - named Aisleyne!
We are assured that Ash had a great time and did NOT bite ANYONE at the after
party.
