Make-A-Wish UK Valentine's Ball11 February 2012
On Saturday 11th February Aisleyne was a celebrity guest at the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK's Valentine's Ball at London's Dorchester Hotel. Make-A-Wish is the international charity which sets out to grant magical wishes to children and young people with life-threatening illnesses. Aisleyne wore a white two-piece outfit and a pair of Karen Millen shoes. Make-A-Wish tweeted that she was "looking lovely", which seemed a very fair assessment to us. Others attending included antiques expert Jamie Breese, who acted as auctioneer, actor Nick Hardcastle who was compere for the evening, and actors James and Oliver Phelps (aka Harry Potter's Weasley twins). Aisleyne thoroughly enjoyed the evening of cocktails, a delicious three-course meal, various entertainments and a charity auction, and the evening was pronounced a great fundraising success. And although she was there as a supporter rather than a beneficiary of the charity, some of the Make-A-Wish magic seems to have rubbed off on her as she got to meet George Clooney. Her excited tweet about that provoked some VERY envious responses!
