In YD-image's words "Justin Timberlake throws a party, but can't be bothered to show up". CRISIS! So Abi must try to make the best of it by papping as many celebs who DO turn up as she can - (cue Aisleyne?????) The tension builds, has she made up for her Timberlake failure? She takes her pics back to Darryn, blaming the camera as she goes.

We know the event was last Thursday, but in the programme's "reconstructed chronology" the date is Friday 13th - "Abi's unlucky day yadda yadda"

Whaddaya reckon peeps?

That seems a likely possibility! You should work for the show!

If that is the case, then perhaps it might be preferable for Aisleyne not to feature in the episode. Unless of course she's hanging out in the VIP room with Timbaland!

I love watching Deadline in fact I can start to be a bore about it so I wont go there.....

...except to say its either Ingrid, Abi or Imogen getting the boot tonight. Loving Darryn still he cant do any wrong in my eyes because you can see exactly how he has done well for himself..he just cuts to the chase...

I dont want anyone to go...doh....but I only realised who Joe is yesterday...ahem..yes..Joe is Joe Mott, the chap who is always mentioning Ais in a most peculiarly unflattering way....

hummm...

regarding who is gonna get the sack....well...anyone of those girls we know...but it could be Abi....she is not really pulling her weight and she does seem to get herself in all the pics....

Actually, it's been 50/50 with him, sometimes nice, sometimes nasty. He was coaching a reluctant Yvette on how to be nasty in a previous episode and she seems to be catching on quite well now. Not that I'm saying she has become nasty!

I think the media world is like that though M. Its a dog eat dog existance and you cannot afford to be 'nice' - I doubt Darryn would be successful if he did,nt exercise ruthless tendencies..you dont get rich and succeed if you dont have the killer instinct...
Id imagine the photographic and magazine world are very very competative...and nobody can stay the top dog so they constantly claw for the best place....that certainly does,nt leave much room to be ' nice'... it might be worth considering also that Yvette is showing the strongest talent too...so she has understood what is required for that business....

I think it's like Michael Corleone says, it's nothing personal, it's just BUSINESS. It's the faustian deal celebs do with the paps and journos. Yes, you'll get coverage, but don't expect it to be necessarily NICE coverage. Nasty or nice will depend on "what comes into my head" as a sharp/witty/funny/clever/whatever turn of phrase as I rush something together to meet the "Deadline" - which is what we saw Joe Mott doing last week with Yvette - she absorbed the lesson and has got the brownie points from Joe, Darryn and Janet accordingly.

If they are messing with the chronology in order to" tell a story" regarding Abi Titmuss, I dreamt up the following possible scenario.

OK, picking up from last night - Abi is now in the last chance saloon and her task is still to get pics of Justin Timberlake.

Said JT is supposedly throwing a party at Crystal, so Abi is despatched to cover it.

Obviously, Justin's no-show at the Crystal club was one of the many nails in Abi's coffin and they couldn't be bothered to show it in the programme.

However, Aisleyne was in the pre-titles sequence again, but why do they always show her back? The front is much more interesting!

That was one of the most revealing segments of the series, so far, for me.

Joe was saying, in effect, that celebrities are under obligation not to be offended by negative copy. The papers must avoid becoming (ab)used by the celeb's publicity machine otherwise their readers will feel they're being used (even though they are) ... the target celebs have to appreciate that.

---

I seem to have developed a habit of watching it and then watching the repeat, straight after on ITV2+1

---

I could scoop up the lovely Imogen L-W and go way off topic.

I like the way you wrote all that without using a single exclamation mark! You've obviously learnt something from Joe too! I haven't!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure he'd have a go at me for arbitrarily incorrect use of ... the ellipsis!!!

Never been a fan of the ... !

Maybe you can check but I don't think I've ever written a post which didn't include a hyphen (a bit of a hyphen-wh*re, me).

On topic: Deadline is my fave reality ever and it's not down to Imogen L-W love. She doesn't come into it at all. I don't know why I brought her into it.

Yvette to WIN! - Dom second!! The rest ... joint third.

Dom: What else do street-sweepers wear?
Iwan: I dunno ... tool-belt?
Dom: Hmmm - let's keep this, like, hetero, shall we?

Joe Mott said something interesting - basically that if you print something slagging someone off they then will likely ring up and request that they give their side of the story in an interview , so it's a good way of baiting them into giving a proper interview .

personally I wouldn't sack Abi, she wants to be in the photos, get her to an underwear shoot, that'd get a few more male readers !

k

I never thought I'd say this, but they'd better start slagging Aisleyne off in the magazine then.

If they want to be in the magazines their managers will arrange to get them in the magazines - for an appropriate fee. If the magazines want the celebrity they'll pay.

What Joe is basically saying is it's a way of getting a celebrity to be in the magazine for less money!

Aisleyne doesn't feature in the latest issue of Deadline magazine. If you're still interested, then it's available in the middle of Closer Magazine and also here (eventually)...

Aisleyne appeared in the pre-titles sequence yet again, but no appearance elsewhere in the programme.

They seem to be running short of photos for the magazine and are using some old ones, so maybe they could use one of Aisleyne. Preferably one that's not showing an unhealthy build-up of earwax, clean out your ears Daniel Radcliffe!
