The Fakers will know but for the rest of you on 7th November, my mum died very unexpectedly. I am finding it very hard with all the Mother's Day publicity coming up, very hard. She was only 65. I know at least she lived that long as I have heard some horror stories, but it was so unexpected.

She's not here to share the good news about my promotion or that Hammie is now 2 years 1 month (80 in human years). She's not here to see improvements by the landlord to my flat. She's not here to hear stories about my 5lb loss at Weight**tchers or my sad starspotting round Central London.

I know there are probably worse stories out that and I do count my blessings but is there much point doing well if she's not here to see it? We were very close.

Sorry, I'm a bit drunk.

The swear filter is a bit over-zealous. It sees rude words even when they are hidden in the middle of others.

I lost my Mum about 3 years ago, so I've an inkling of how you are feeling.
Take care.

So sorry to hear that. It is very early days for you in the grieving process so pefectly normal to feel so sad and dates like Mothers day will hurt. It does get easier in time.

Remember that even tho your mother has gone she is in you. Tell her out loud about your weight loss or whatever you want, it might sound stange but it can be comforting.

wishing you well.
