ofni - 16/3/2007 20:50 The thread title is now a little behind the times, methinks.
I have amended the title accordingly.

Dear Mr Emptybox,

We are delighted to be able to inform you that your application for the post of Dialy St*r headline writer has been accepted and hope that you will be able to take up your position with immediate effect.

Yours faithfully,

The Big Wig

I think the fact that you now have to register to view the gallery, may be playing a part.

I'd wager half of those are in the staff area, though. Looking through the memberlist I see names with 1000+ posts who i've never seen post, and it's not often I miss a thread.

If people have drifted off, I have drifted in. I'm glad to be on here and I don't intend to be a spectator.

We don't waffle on that much!

People's post counts are transferred from the previous forum. Some members don't have enough spare time to post that much at the moment, like Ash Fans, one of our admins.

Now it's over 700. The online numbers are not increasing and that's a shame.

Are people signing up, having a look, and then going? How many active members do we have? People who post or lurk regularly.

If we take 100 posts as a sign that someone is regular, I think out of the 700 there's 18 (of which 4 haven't posted for several months and another 5 are admin/mods). It does always seem to be the same 8-10 names online at any one time.

I dont even consider myself a regular. Now that's weird to me that I might be one of those 10 or so users.

I have also read the forum rules thread. This isn't going to help.

"Not permitted - threads relating to other celebrities, television programmes or specific subjects not covered above. All these areas should have their own dedicated forums elsewhere. Anyone posting an Aisleyne related topic in one of those forums would rightly expect the moderators there to delete the thread as off-topic. The same applies here. Similarly, mention of a subject by Aisleyne during her radio show or in other media will not, in itself, form the basis for an acceptable thread.

c. Big Brother 7
For discussion of BB7 show and the participating housemates. Threads relating to housemates who have appeared in other past BB or CBB programmes have been permitted to date, however, wef 1st May 2007, only BB7 related threads will be permitted. As Aisleyne has expressed the wish to move on from Big Brother, BB8 and subsequent BB and CBB programmes will be considered off-topic, and not permitted."

Well, I'm sure there will be other fan sites or I could always go back to GF and DS I suppose when BB8 is on.

I've always thought of myself as someone who doesn't "live at OA" as well, Emma - so imagine my surprise when I find i'm one of the top 10 or so posters as well!

I gues it goes to show that if you and I are "up there" then there's a lot of apathy below us, hun.

Did I mess up a reply or did it get deleted? Admin can you help?

I replied to Bengos saying that people appear to be taking it all a lot more seriously now, but I can't be bothered to retype it.

I should share the blame for any seriousness, I must admit. I'm getting far too serious about the people taking it too seriously. I do hope you won't take it too seriousl;y that i'm taking it too seriously about people taking it too seriously?

LOL!

I'll do my best. People should remember that very few BB contestants make it a long way in the media. I think somehow If Aisleyne finds herself at the end of her road as far as the media is concerned, which is very possible for ALL of them but hopefully not, she will just move onto something else and be okay. How will some people cope if she moves out of the lime light?

I didn't delete any post. But I did move the thread to Feedback and then realised that it might not be a good idea while people were posting on it. You obviously posted during the brief move and your post got lost. Sorry!

That's okay Maringo. If you hold your hand out for a brief moment all will be amended.

If you click on 'User Listing' you can see the date that each member registered and the date that they last logged in. There are a huge number of members who have not logged in since they registered and probably about 400 who haven't logged in this month.

Having said that, the number of online users is pretty impressive (13 at the moment and it's just gone midnight!). That's the true indicator of a site's popularity, IMO.

Regards

Julian

I could be wrong, but i'm not sure the last login means anything (as you can set a login to be permanent on one's own computer, for example there are people that have posted today but according to the listing haven't logged in for weeks).

You're quite right. That's because of the invisibility setting. If you choose to be invisible on the site, then the user listing lists your last "visible" log in.
