Aisleyne has signed a deal with Mainstream publishing to publish a book about her life.  The book will be published in Spring 2009 not Autumn as stated in the report on "The Bookseller"

Great news, although it can't be as 'miserable' as they make it out to be, can it?

I hope the book is a massive success for Ash

Wow! What news!

I have the feeling this ain't going to be a cosy-comfortable read, but as Sky Showbiz said it's bound to be a "page turner".

Exciting stuff!

I was wondering what Bookseller meant by "misery memoir" and found this article about what seems to be very commercial genre, and does seem - at least partly - to match with where Aisleyne has "come from".

Great news. I hope the book is massive too, both in size and sales.

By all accounts Aisleyne has led a fascinating life. I suspect the interest in a book like this could easily transcend the average celebrity biography.

I wish her every success and I'll definitely be first in line for a copy

Regards

I think you're dead right about it being more than just a celeb-type book.

I also think you'd better buy TWO copies, just in case... ....

Something tells me Aisleyne won't need me to furnish her with a copy this time

The "Chaisleyne" fan club on Lowculture forum have started a thread about this, with a predictable Brooker angle.

In particular they are looking for some "reciprocity" in the Index vis-a-vis Aisleyne's "lovely" entry in the Index of "Dawn of the Dumb". Quite a good point, I suppose. Assuming "W:SGGG" will have an index?

An autobiography update:

Publication of Aisleyne's book is now confirmed for May 2009.
The working title, 'Witness', will almost certainly NOT be the actual title of the book.

It is also understood that discussions are underway which should see extracts from the book serialised in a national newspaper.

Blimey

Good news if it can be pulled off - somehow I'm not expecting The Guardian but you never know - Ash has contacts etc

For what it's worth, I like the idea of an imaginitive title, not the usual 'Aisleyne: My Story' gubbins

That may be a good idea, but I'm not buying a book with pages ripped out.
