| maringo - 21/1/2007 04:05 maringo - 18/1/2007 11:59Thanks Claire. Regardless of whether he goes into the BB house or not, you can still catch him on his new AOL show...http://eleven.aol.co.uk/gossip/mr-paparazzi-celebrity-weekly/article/20061207102809990006I only just found out about this while looking for more info on the BB story. Here's what he said in his final show before leaving for BB...http://eleven.aol.co.uk/gossip/mr-paparazzi-in-big-brother/article/20070117110309990002
Did you see the bit where it says he is now IN the house..? I hav,nt looked, seen or asked yet...first post , first look..so I definately will be watching Darryn. We have to support him...as he is looking after our AISLEYNE....so everybody will just have to break the rules for a bit... Including me and you. |

I've just watched BBLB. He's not in just yet.
He was supposed to be going in late in the week, but other events changed that. He might not go in at all now. |

Location: Scottish Borders | I doubt they'll put any new people in now. There's only a week left, and there would be too many people to evict before the final.
I don't know what they were planning originally. I suspect if Donny, Ken and Leo hadn't have walked they would have had more midweek evictions and double evictions to whittle them down?
I suppose they might put someone in as a guest but not tell the hms they didn't have a chance of winning?

| Hummm.
Looks like its the waiting room for me then..

|
| Well in the Gossip thread you will see I have read that a newspaper has said Darryn is definately going in tonight...I wonder how many times I WILL say ...he is, he is,nt he is, he is,nt.. |
|
|
|
| I doubt it somehow, what would be the point at this stage, personally I don't think it would be a good idea. He seems quite quirky, perhaps he would be liked, if not it will be another reason for haterz to ridicule Ash. |
|
|
|
| I don't think "being liked" is terribly high on Darryn's priority list. And hatterz don't need ANY reason whatsoever to have a go at Aisleyne. They merely confirm what we already know, Aisleyne is "unforgettable"!
And if DL DOES go in, even for just a week, I don't think HE'LL be easily forgotten either!

| Today's Daily Star says...
"TV bosses have “delayed indefinitely” plans to put two new housemates on the show. American trannie Alexis Arquette, 37, and “Mr Paparazzi” Darryn Lyons, 40, were due to go in at the weekend."
So he's not going in now. |

| However, the Geelong Advertiser says he is going in tonight...

So who do you trust more? The Daily Star or the Geelong Advertiser? |

| Ah! many's the happy hour I have spent perusing the worthy pages of the blessed Geelong Advertiser.
You can't beat it for picking up a nearly new tuckerbag for next to nothing! |

The DL story makes the front page of the paper, so they're pretty confident about it.
The following sentence is quite interesting...
--Mr Gregorio suspected Lyons had been head hunted to join the show because he knew Shetty "quite well".--
How well is "quite well" exactly? |

| ofni - 22/1/2007 15:57 Drat and Triple Drat Oh I feel the same Ofni, you have said it for both of us. I would really love Darryn to go in. I hope Maringo is right about the Geelong Advertiser... |

| "Reverse Ferrett" on DS, who never gets it wrong, says that Lyons, Arquette, and Bosnich have been sent home from their hotels after being holed up there for a week. No new HMs will be joining the show. |
|

|
| Thanx for that Bengos. I am disappointed of course personally, because the whole show is just boring, bothered and stumbling now in my view. I think the new housemates could have turned over a fresher look at things and in some respects put some other things to rest for a while at least. Never mind. |

| Thank you for posting that link Maringo... Doh! thats all I can say to THAT report...!! It makes BB seem totally superficial now. Anyone who votes or spends one penny on voting is a complete fool unless of course they love Shilpa. I am truly.................. ....... .......... I wont be voting ever again. |

| Here's the latest update from the Geelong Advertiser...
http://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/article/2007/01/27/1093_news.ht...
Quote: "It is believed Lyons will still pocket about $380,000 for his non-appearance after Channel 4 agreed to pay out his contract."
That's works out at £150,000.
Nice pay for a week in a luxurious hotel room. |
|
|
|
| ...and they say time is money...
truth in that then... |
|
|
|
| It probably cost him more than that in lost wheeling/dealing time, and lost publicity value. So I reckon Channel/endemol still owe him big-time. A few TV appearnces for Aisleyne would be some compensation however ............. |
