Carphone Warehouse has pulled its sponsorship of Celebrity Big Brother in the wake of the racism row that has engulfed the Channel 4 reality show.
The company's chief executive, Charles Dunstone, said the behaviour of some of the housemates was "entirely at odds" with its brand values, and said it had decided to act after watching last night's programme Terrible | |

Location: Edgware, Middlesex | I have to say I don't understand their objection at all. Every year there is deplorable behaviour from housemates. The program doesn't say this is a good thing it simply gives the public the opportunity to register their disapproval by voting.
Complete knee-jerk over-reaction, if you ask me

They'll probably sponsor the show again when things calm down and in the meantime take advantage of the free publicity they're getting. |
