A link to a recent interview by Michelle Bass was posted on her official site. She mentions that the housemates she keeps in contact with most these days are Kinga and Aisleyne...

I'd like Ais to distance herself from Michelle in the professional sense (she can be mates with who she wants, of course). Michelle is, no disrepect, at the slightly trashier end of the celeb market, and I have higher hopes for Aisleyne.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I don't think Michelle is trashy and as far as I can see is in exactly the same area of the celeb market as Aisleyne (i.e. the glamour model area). Michelle has been one of the most successful and popular housemates to date so I really don't see any reason why the connection would hurt Ais.

Fair enough, Julian. I like Michelle as a person - i'm not knocking her or her success. Is Ais just a glamour model then? I have higher hopes for her myself (not that there's anything wrong with being a glamour model).

I would hope that she can add more strings to her bow, but then I also hope that of Michelle.

Michelle is trying to break into other things as well. She has a good voice, and is pushing a single which was well received in the clubs and is certainly better than any of the novelty songs that other ex-housemates have come up with. She's performed live at a charity concert and I think she has probably as good a chance as any ex-housemate of breaking out and making a name for herself in her own right. If it pays off then, far from seeing her as someone whose association would hold Aisleyne back, I think she could actually be a good source of inspiration.

In any case, it's not as if they're being photographed falling out of clubs together at the moment

Thanks for that Julian. I'll listen to that.

I noticed on Michelle's site that she said she had caught up with Ash (and Nadia) at the Charlotte Church show.

I wonder if Ash was invited to Mich's Birthday party?

Thanks for the info julian. I'll have a listen to that too.

I never watched the BB series she was in, but she seems a nice person to me. I liked her embarassed admission on the Charlotte Church Show! What was that all about? Or shouldn't I ask?

Nice to hear Michelle and Ash are still friends.
BB5 was one of the best of the series. But Michelle was another victim of biased editing. Great to see Michelle is doing well.

That was a great interview.
Her accent is almost unrecognizable, although she's still got that brilliant laugh.

She does sound a little different!
Its interesting though, to hear what she has to say, esp on the whole BB editing and stuff, and of course its ace when she talks about Ash xxxx

During the show Michelle got very close to one of the other contestants. A young guy called Stuart Wilson. Stuart was really into her too but was very self-conscious and uncomfortable about showing it on TV. This gave Michelle a reputation as a 'bunny boiler' - they portrayed her as relentlessly pursuing her man against his will

Near the end of the show, they were essentially boyfriend and girlfriend having been together 24 hours a day for a couple of months and Michelle decided she couldn't wait any longer to consummate the relationship. She built a kind of nest under the kitchen table and surrounded it with boxes and pillows so that the cameras couldn't see anything and invited Stuart under the table with her. There was a lot of speculation following this as to whether they had actually done the deed. Michelle's answer in interviews ever since was 'no comment'

Michelle and Stuart were a couple for a year but eventually broke up.

That's a good summary, Julian. I thought Michelle was portrayed a bit unfairly at the time. Love her or hate her she was one of the stars of BB5 (probably my 2nd or 3rd fave HM that series) and gave us some unforgettable moments ("No....naked...jacuzziness", and Pie Jesu two such moments).

There have been threads today on DS and GBBF expressing the same 'Bunny Boiler' idiocy as 2½ years ago.

Not surprised by that, emptybox. Doubtless there will sadly be "Ais is fake" etc threads in 2 years time.

Still, they do say there's no such thing as bad publicity.
