Aisleyne's off to the Emerald Isle for a couple of weeks!

She is going to be one of the six celebrities on the new series of hit programme "Celebrity Salon" which will be shown on Ireland's TV3 channel.

Plenty more details to follow, but for starters read this news item:

http://www.herald.ie/entertainment/around-town/georgias-ready-to-gi...

As the article says:

Due to start shooting shortly, the series is expected to be one of the highlights of TV3's spring schedule given its high-profile participants

So it is, to be sure, to be sure.....

Well Aisleyne will certainly enjoy that.
And she'll love working in Ireland.

I see you can watch the station on their website, so hopefully we'll be able to catch her on the show?
I just hope she doesn't go overboard using her 'Irish' accent.

This year's series follows and builds on last year's, which was the first and a big ratings success. Showings will start, as last year, on Ireland's June Bank Holiday which this year is Monday 6th June. Last year it was shown at 9pm Mondays and Wednesdays. Because of its success this year's show has a bigger budget, better known celebs, who will be running their own salons.

And programme makers Straywave are looking for members of the public to receive (and judge! ) treatments given by the celebs. Fancy a trip to Ireland for some hands-on TLC from Aisleyne?

So, do we gather it's all being filmed beforehand, and then being broadcast in June?

This show should suit Ash down to the ground. Remember the great job she did on Jayne on the night she was evicted in BB7?

so true, I remember that really well. Mainly because my partner was fascinated in watching make up being put on someone for 2 hours. No offence to Ash as she did a great job, but that was 2 hours of my life I never got back

According to the Irish Times, they've found a nice place for Aisleyne et al to live for the next two weeks:

The people responsible for TV3’s Celebrity Salon have been hunting for a suitable house for its second series. The production company, Straywave – the people behind Fade Street and Young, Dumb and Living off Mum – has been on the lookout for a property big enough to sleep the six contestants and endowed with reality-TV staples such as a swimming pool, hot tub, pool room, movie room and gym, where they can film their salon stars off duty.

It has just done a deal through Photo Locations – a new website that features numerous boom-era homes – to use a north Co Dublin house with all of the above facilities. The deal is worth around €2,000 a week to the owners.

Sounds a good deal more luxurious than the BB house ever was!

Here's the winning moment from last year's series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7b-zpMIfAU

Obviously very emotional ..... and she won a two-week holiday in Thailand, too.

Select Ray Foley's Show and Thursday's Part 1, and you can hear CS2 contestant Georgia Salpa talking about the new series, giving a mention to all the celebs, including Ash.

The interview with Georgia starts at about 30:50, if for some inexplicable reason you might not want to wade through the extraneous craic beforehand.

Begorrah, I reckon Mr Foley didn't just kiss the blarney stone, he bit a chunk off and swallowed it, so he did. Nice of him to let his guest at least get the occasional syllable into the conversation, to be sure.

Quick rundown on the contestants so far revealed (line-up could in theory be subject to late changes, remember):

Aisleyne - no introduction needed! But if you want one - Big Brother contestant, actress in Anuvahood and author of 'Aisleyne: Surviving Guns, Gangs and Glamour'
Calum Best - US born son of footy legend George Best. Celebrity Love Island winner (2006).
Abi Titmuss - onetime girlfriend of John Leslie and Lee Sharpe. Another Love Island contestant . Now an award-winning actress.
Georgia Salpa - Bikini model
Rosanna Davison - model and former Miss world (2003). Yes, and daughter of Chris 'Lady In Red' De Burgh
Alan Hughes - TV3 presenter

Hmmm, rather a high babe-quotient there, innit? It looks like TV3 are hoping to boost their audience figures by providing "something for the gentlemen" to gaze at while their womenfolk enjoy all the beauty treatment goings-on. Mr Best must think all his Christmasses have come at once, especially as Mr Hughes is otherwise-oriented. So he (Alan H) and gay-icon Aisleyne should presumably get on like a house on fire while Calum had perhaps better know himself.

I did know that at one point, but I'd forgotten all about it.

Does Ash know Calum Best, do we know?
(I've forgotten that as well. )

I'm sure the photo agency archives would show that they must have attended many of the same VIP events, parties etc over the years.

Of course Calum, along with Bianca Gascoigne, won the last "Love Island" in 2006, which was killed off by Aisleyne &Co in BB7. AND nowadays it's Bianca and Aisleyne who are the ones caught snogging by the paps Funny old world, innit?

Aisleyne's obviously being allowed to keep her phone and do a limited amount of tweeting whilst she's filming CS2, because she's just tweeted that she's on the way back to the house for a BBQ after a hard day's filming, and she's shattered.

Her efforts seem to have been appreciated anyway

A little overnight tweeting suggests that Aisleyne has hit it off well with Mr Hughes and Ms Salpa, but perhaps not so well with Ms Titmuss.

A couple of rather cryptic tweets suggest that Aisleyne has had a lot of fun today, some of it seeming to concern Mr Best who Aisleyne says has been "a trooper" (I think she means "trouper" )

Some tweeters have leapt to conclusions about what may (or may not! ) have transpired.
