And here's a (written) interview with Richie (Tyrone) Campbell, including some background to "the ketchup scene", which is rapidly shaping up as one of THE memorable moments of the film!

So it's definitely ketchup, and not Reggae-Reggae?
I find that oddly disappointing.

Fascinating article on London Evening Standard website about Anuvahood, but more particularly about Adam Deacon and his background.

"Absent father" - "living in a hostel" - "London street life" - "beaten up" - "guns" - and a determination to make something of himself.

Remind you of anyone?

Eeek! and double eeek!

AND: here's another interview with Adam Deacon, which concludes with further hair-raising remarks about "the ketchup stuff"

http://www.flicksandbits.com/2011/03/17/adam-deacon-interview-for-h...

AND: here are some audience reactions from a rather unlikely source, namely the moneysavingexpert.com forum. Eh? I hear you say. Well, these are people who are always looking to save money, and the relevant thread is about free cinema tickets (preview showings etc). So they are possibly not exactly the target demographic for Anuvahood audiences, as shown by some of the comments ("needing subtitles" etc).

Anyway, relevant comments:

Re the film. My DS loved it, and there were lots of laugh out loud moments if you could overcome the language barrier.
The whole screening were cringing and squirming ..... not least with the Tomato Ketchup scene......
Somehow sausages and ketchup will never be the same
A 2011 version of Ali G?

That scene definitely sticks in the mind, my hubby says he never wants tomato sauce again, lol!

me too... it's too shocking... i don't think i can eat ketchup for a while now... euw...

BTW: If you're planning on seeing Anuvahood (or any other current film) at an Odeon theatre, the thread also has a link to get 40% off vouchers for non-Friday/Saturday showings in March.

Och, dinnae be sic a feartie-cat!

Flavour magazine have a series of short audio interviews and pics from the premiere, including Aisleyne (bestowing her favour on Favour's lucky reporter Noel Phillips! )

Adam Deacon and Jocelyn Jee Esien were guests on Trevor Nelson's BBC R1X show this morning, talking about Anuvahood.

Among the things they talked about was the spoof element, and how cast-members were often "taking the P." out of themselves. Trevor N specifically mentioned Aisleyne and referred - "without wanting to give away too much" ie no mention of ketchup - to her self-parody of her "know yourself" persona.

A report on this event has been added to the News section.

http://www.aisleyne.com/minifullnews_tv&r_3.asp?dismode=article&art...

Two videos have also been added to the Videos section, namely the Levi Roots remixed trailer (with sauce ), and Aisleyne's interview with LSQTV at the premiere.

http://www.aisleyne.com/videos/videos.asp

Three pics from premiere night have also been added to the Photos section, two from the photocall, one from the afterparty.

There's also a pic taken at the Mayfair Hotel when she went for her Versace dress fitting.

Have to say went to see it tonight and I was thinking the same as that quote..... I dont think I'll ever be able to eat tomato ketchup again
Have to say she did really good and whilst in parts it was hard for us oldies to understand, it had some great comic moments.

Maybe if they look like achieving audience breakout beyond their target demographic they might consider adding subtitles

Onwards and upwards

Surely you should now be saying "Bigger tings"?

Well I've seen Anuvahood - and I can confirm that Aisleyne fills the big screen MOST impressively!

Her screen time may not be extensive, but it's CERTAINLY memorable!

I was interested to note that in the opening credits she is listed simply as "Aisleyne".

This Louboutin blog tracks and records stars/fashion icons/etc wearing Louboutin shoes. They have noted that Aisleyne was wearing "Dorit" (with her own modification!) with a Versace dress.

http://passionlouboutin.blogspot.com/2011/03/150311.html

(They had also previously spotted her in her Louboutins at the Burlesque premiere.)

A very brief and not very enthusiastic review in today's Sunday Mirror.

The three-and-a-bit lines only have room to mention three cast members, namely Adam Deacon, Jaime Winstone and ..... A.N. Other

Encouraging indications that Anuvahood is a hit where it matters - with its audience!

From weekend release box office figures tweeted by Charle Gant, Film editor of Heat magazine

http://twitter.com/#!/charlesgant

1. The Lincoln Lawyer £571k.

2. Chalet Girl £549k.

3. Anuvahood with £537k, but only 149 screens, SO BEST SCREEN AVERAGE . As Gant says - "Audience came out for it"

4. A Turtle's Tale "poor" £323k from 379 screens

5. Submarine £219k from 60 screens

Remember - it's bums on seats not old fart critics that REALLY matter.

Must be a lot of cinemas kicking themselves that their takings "turned turtle" when they could have known "bigger tings".

Pretty darn good, I'd say.

An increase in sales of Fruit-tellas would also be an indicator, I guess.

Though if sales of ketchup rise as well I wouldn't be quite sure what to think ....

Some interesting background to the music video shoot on this blog by one of the cameramen.

The slomo capture camera was a Phantom flex

The man that Aisleyne "dashes with water" was producer Paul Van Carter

There's an "slight" mistake in the caption to the last pic - it should of course read "godson"!

Little bit on the Flavour Magazine website, where the Anuvahood cast choose their favourite movies.

http://www.flavourmag.co.uk/my-favourite-film-with-the-cast-of-anuvahood/

Aisleyne chose hers because it "made her sob her eyes out".

I also see that Adam Deacon says on Twitter, that because of demand, the film will come to more cinemas, so perhaps it'll come somewhere near me?
