I pre-ordered mine from Amazon a while back.
So I'll probably have to wait a few more weeks.

Yes, I don't want to put any spoilers up either, but I will say that this book is a must-read way beyond just us Aisleyne fans or Big Brother enthusiasts.

Well done Aisleyne and all concerned! Fantastic job

Now finished it. Gulp. You'll have to prepare yourselves for a shock near the end.

I would sum up the book as going 15 rounds with Mike Tyson. Just when you think you've absorbed all the best blows it can land, along comes a right uppercut near the end. If that doesn't floor you, nothing will.

Its a very frank and personal book which I'm glad about. Aisleyne-isms abound in it, so you can tell its her OWN story and not some tarted-up/watered-down/ghosted version of it.

When I said that, I didn't know the half of it

That was an enthralling, heart-wrenching and ultimately uplifting read.

Aisleyne, I can't begin to understand the courage it took to put some of that stuff down for all to read but for all of the trauma and for all of your own self-admitted imperfections, one thing you wrote stuck out: "Gems shine through the dirt".

Your a gem of a human being Aisleyne, never let anyone tell you different...

Currently showing as THE "Hot Seller" on the Pickabook homepage.

Note! I don't know how often that page is updated, though, so it might change quickly.

ETA Just noticed the book is immediately above her fellow No Smoking Day celeb, Duncan Bannatyne

Mine should arrive tomorrow, I'm hoping! I have to say I'm pretty intrigued after reading some of the messages on here. I don't want to know too much before I read it, but those who have read it have been great with not giving anything away.

Now Amazon's book listings are very volatile and should be treated with EXTREME caution, so PLEASE don't get over-excited. But I thought it worth pointing out that Aisleyne's book has just appeared in Amazon's Top 100 Biographies at No 98.

I'll not put a link as the listings change too often.

This person seems quite well read too - the other reviews include works by Stephen Fry and Willy Russell. NO Jeffrey Archers or Jackie Collins...

I second that and I agree about the shock. I never expected to learn too much about her post BB life because I thought I lived and breathed it all. How little did I know. It's a fabulous book by a fabulous writer.

In another Waterstones today, and couldn't see it under either "H" OR "W".

Then I noticed four copies - under "A"!

The following review of Aisleyne's book appeared recently in the London Lite evening newspaper.

I can't find a link to an online version, so if anyone can find it please let us know.

It's one of 4 books reviewed - 2 get two stars, one gets 3 stars and Aisleyne's book alone gets 4 stars (of 5 max).

"From street to celebrity: the fairytale of a ghetto princess

Who says Big Brother contestants shouldn't write autobiographies? This one by BB7's "ghetto princess" comes with a glowing endorsement from that noted bibliophile, Amy Winehouse: "Aisleyne is a lioness", and her former boyfriend Mike Tyson: "Well done". You expect big things then, and the book doesn't disappoint.

Her childhood was so awful you half expect to turn the page and learn she was raised by wolves. At four, she saw her dad try suicide by slitting his wrists. At 13, she was beaten up by bullies with a sock full of snooker balls. At 16, her mum, a Jehovah's Witness, threw her out. She moved into a hostel in Kilburn, and her boyfriend was paralysed from the neck down in a shooting. The woman who was a "surrogate grandmother" was found stabbed to death with a fork, puncture holes in her face and a telephone wire wrapped around her neck. "Was it suicide?" wonders Aisleyne.

Salvation came with Big Brother; by which time she'd had several miscarriages and dated Tyson.

Aisleyne has been through so much drama she could counsel every character in Eastenders. Although you know she'd just say, as she did in the house, "Know yourself, babes". Amber Coleman."

Bit flippant (inappropriately so in places, I thought), but definitely favourable, though of course, a star short in the rating.
