http://www.google.com/search?q=unique+by+aisleyne&hl=en&rlz=1B3GGGL...

There's room for improvement but it's a start.

About time too I say they couldn't deny her any longer not with the clothing range.

I think it should say that she is a Fashion Designer/Model/TV Personality myself

Unable to post direct link but it is there

Great news, and I'm sure there's more stuff that could be added to it. Remember anyone can add to it, even if you're not a member. It's worth keeping an eye on it though as some people may object to it and it could be deleted again, as a previous page was in the past.

It could do with a photo, but I'm not sure what you would be allowed to put in?

I've added a link to it from Wiki's list of BB 2006 housemates, but there are probably better people to fiddle with the article itself.

ETA Some t**t has already put in a deletion request, however.

There is a discussion page for whether it should be deleted. Perhaps some (carefully judged) entries there might be in order? I'm not sure whether you have to be registered for that or not (registering isn't difficult, though there's a time delay of a few days before some privileges come through).

Honestly having a Wikipedia page dedicated to you is nice and if it is deleted it's really no big deal IMHO. I find it quite comical they are considering deleting it. Aisleyne has survived all this time without her own Wikipedia page hello duh lol.

I wonder if the kids have been let out again.

You don't have to be registered to add you comments to the Delete page, but it only takes a second to register, and it seems to hide your IP address from public viewing.

I added a 'Keep' note at the end, but wether it will have any effect, I've no idea.

Their main arguement for deletion seems to be that they got a similar page deleted in the past.

Not sure how much value a wiki page is really?
I've only ever used it to look up people I've never heard of.

I have made a contribution to the discussion of the deletion of Aisleyne‘s Wikipedia page based on the contribution of the internet for her elevation. It would be folly for a web based project such as Wikipedia, to fail to include Aisleyne.

Yes, I said in one of my comments that Wikipedia should be inclusive not exclusive, but the mods on there want to restrict entries to their select little club.

The discussion regarding the deletion of Aisleyne’s Wikipedia entry has been closed with the result “No consensus” and so the entry remains (rightly so IMHO). However, a notability tag has been placed on it. It is recommended that references should be added to establish notability.

I have added a paragraph to the Big Brother section regarding Aisleyne’s rise in popularity with a reference to the Daily Mail report on the BB Fix. I also added a reference to the digitalspy report, BB7's Aisleyne becomes charity patron and the recent Daily Star report on the Unique by Aisleyne fashion range.

If any of this is inappropriate I will modify it, so please let me know.

Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisleyne_Horgan-Wallace_%28Model%29#_note-Fix

BTW, I noticed that the entry for Grace Adams-Short, has been nominated for deletion.

Thanks IO.

I added an external link to the Unique by Aisleyne site, and also a paragraph in the TV section about her episodes of 'Celebrity: Stars at work' on Red TV.

I prepared a couple of photos but kept coming up against a lot of copyright stuff when I tried to upload them, so I think it would be best if someone from OA would put up a suitable pic that they have permission to use.

I see some interested party has been hard at work Today, adding a whole load of references.

They can't complain now. Well done!

I have to say I'm a little dubious about that whole insider claiming the show was fixed business. It strikes me as somewhat defamatory, uncorroborated and the sort of thing that can get pages banned

Plus I don't think it's right to attribute Aisleyne's sudden swing in popularity in the last week to the Fakers. BB has millions of viewers swinging opinion and as much as we might like to think so, those involved on the forums are likely to be an insignificant fraction of that vote. Besides, I like to think that Aisleyne had something to do with her own popularity

I know I could go edit it myself but it's just my opinion and others may not agree. However, it does concern me. I was much happier with the page the first time I read it

Regards

Julian

Thanks Julian, I understand these concerns and as I said, I will modify it if it is inappropriate. I was trying to highlight how Aisleyne’s popularity grew throughout the series, which I believe is notable. Could we get some input from OA staff and possibly a revised text (sorry, I know your busy).

The entry overall is now looking significant. Well done everybody.

I think the insider stuff, although a bit dubious, has been backed up by a reference article, so is probably OK.

I do think perhaps, that if we are mentioning the Fakers, who were a CH4 BB forum phenemenon, we should also mention Team Aisleyne, who were the Digital Spy equivalent??

I've tweaked the Big Brother section slightly.

I've left the insider reference for now , but I've added a wee mention of Team Aisleyne (only fair ), and I deleted the bit at the end about the Fakers being the foundation of the Aisleyne brand.
TBH I didn't know what you meant by that?

Feel free to put it back if you think it's significant.

The page now meets notability standards, so she's on Wikipedia to stay ;-)

We've managed to put a picture up......for the time being anyway.

They're still saying the page needs copy editing?
It looks fine to me.

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed and helped in setting up the page.  It finally looks like Aisleyne has her own page now.

I've done a bit of tidying up on the grammar side and it all looks pretty 'A+' now.

premierscfc - 28/2/2008 18:33 Looks like it is up for deletion again.

Someone thought it was the same page that was deleted last year. I added the "hangon" tag to contest the "speedy deletion".

I think the page will remain in place now.

The IP address used by the 'speedy deletion' tagger has been used to vandalise various pages, inc. Stoke City's :-)

They had better not try and delete it again.
Not after we've put so much work in.
