OK, I guess all you drivers have Satellite Navigation these days or, at least, some route planning software?

If not, have a look at this treasure (IMHO):

ViaMichelin driving directions

If that link doesn't work, try going to the ViaMichelin home page and click on "Driving directions" on the menu bar along the top.

It got me to Wales last Christmas. I just wish I'd remembered to print the return trip as well before we departed (although reading it backwards was possible - interspersed with some robust verbal exchanges between the driver and his *__*__* clueless navigator.)

You could try Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent if you're not going anywhere else.

It even tells you the mileage (86km/53miles) ...

... and the estimated journey time (just under an hour).

Thats excellent Deeb...you can also put your information into Yell.com and that too will give you step by step instructions plus the mileage of how to get somewhere....I have been quite grateful for it on occasion too....!!
