Aisleyne will not be filming any more episodes of Celebrity: Stars at Work. Instead, she will appearing in her own 60 minute show 'Aisleyne'. The new show is likely to initially air on Red TV. Work on the production has now begun.

The new 'Aisleyne' programme will not be a simple fly-on-the-wall documentary, although some of Aisleyne's appearances, meetings and other activities will continued to be filmed. Aisleyne Limited will have ultimate control of the programme's format and 'look', and is currently working with the production team to finalise the segments to be included in the show.

One element planned is 'Ask Ash' type content, in which Aisleyne will respond to viewers questions, requests and suggestions, very much as she has in magazines and radio programmes in the past. To kick this off, forum members are now being given the opportunity to submit questions and requests for the first programme.

There are no constraints on what may be asked, requested or suggested, though forum members are reminded that TV is a visual medium, so questions that could perfectly well be dealt with via radio or any printed form are unlikely to be included.

Questions, requests or suggestions should be submitted by email before 18th January to info@aisleyne.com, with the subject 'Aisleyne show'. Emails must include your real name (NOT forum name) and town, which may be read out during the programme. Only emails which feature in the programme will be dealt with; other emails will not be answered individually.

Viewers will be requested to submit emails for the second and subsequent programmes to the address that will appear on screen during the broadcast.

It has a good ring to it.

Glad to hear that Aisleyne Limited will have overall control.

This sounds great. A TV show called just 'Aisleyne' - its what we've all secretly dreamed of, I suspect. Ok so its not primetime BBC1 - yet - but its a start. I'll have to think up some creative questions to send in. The more questions guys, the better.

I've just read this news and responded in my usual way to good news. Now that my feet are back on the ground, I wish to congratulate all concerned and wish Aisleyne the best of luck with her new show. As others have pointed, we all have to do our bit and come up with good ideas during the next week.

Premierscfc, I am a bit confused. You said she was going to do an "Ask Ash" section, similiar to what she did in magazines and on the radio, and ask us for questions, but then you sort of say that anything of this type is unlikely to be used? So I dont quite see what type of question needs to be sent. Or am I just being thick? (and there better not be any "yes" answers to that from everyone.....lol)

Yes

If there are too many questions to fit in to the timeframe then the ones that are better suited for a TV show will probably get preference.  Basically TV is a visual medium and we would like people to take advantage of that.

All the best Ash, this is a brilliant opportunity the ball is in your court. I hope you and your advisers come up with great ideas.
This is an opportunity to showcase your skills, I think you are a natural presenter, and you look great on TV. This I hope will be a stepping stone to greater things. (I am probably repeating myself but I really do wish you well). Perhaps this will end up on another channel, T4 would be great.

Good promo, depending on how this show takes shape, it's presentation, it could well open doors for Aisleyne in America not only here.

I imagine "Aisleyne" the show to be like a magazine type program, covering different stuff, fashion, music, community stuff, special guest interviews, what's on Aisleyne's opinion on what's hot what's not, Ask Aisleyne, competitions, Aisleyne's diary for the week ahead etc (segments showing attendance to red carpet events/or even breaks abroad). I am guessing of course I could be completely wrong. I wonder if it will include a segment for fashion make-overs. This could be an idea, to make the day of someone who is less fortunate in the community, or as the result of someone winning a competition. There are so many different ways the show could go. It should be good.

Whatever shape the show takes all the best.......

I'm really excited about the prospect of an Aisleyne show and I don't want to be negative but, I have to say, I'm not particularly impressed by that promo. Why would comments like "I feel sick" and "I'm feeling miserable" encourage people to want to watch something? There were plenty of upbeat and funny comments to choose from that would have been a much more positive hook

Any screentime has got to be a good thing but I haven't been particularly impressed by the channel's programme-making skills up till now and that promo doesn't exactly fill me with confidence either

I think it's an excellent promo with plenty of positive images of Aisleyne; maybe some more upbeat soundbites might have been chosen, but I don't think that really matters at all.

The key thing to me is that this programme gives Aisleyne a huge opportunity to showcase what she can do, on effectively her own terms. If she can combine that with smaller appearances on more mainstream programmes then so much the better.

Maybe we're getting a bit blase, but a few months ago we would have been delighted to learn that Ash would be on a TV programme modelling clothes. The fact that both the clothes label and the TV programme bore her name would have been just too amazing to think about.

I agree, a few soundites of Ash saying she's miserable (probably exaggerating) and feeling sick (definitely exaggerating) don't really bother me - its a little promo showing Ash's range of emotions and sayings. Its a pity they didn't use the one where she's worried she might "gatch" pneumonia, though :0)

Don't get me wrong, I am delighted!

I also agree that the key thing is the programme itself and not the promo. However, in the interests of "keeping it real" I personally don't think it can be rated as an 'excellent' promo. People may or may not agree and it may or may not be too late to change it but, to me, it seems a surprising choice to try to entice people to watch a program by picking some of the most negative soundbites available. Particularly at the end of the trailer where it leaves the most lasting impression. It's all very well if you've watched "Stars at Work" and know the context but plenty of people won't have.

It's not all bad. There are some great shots of Ash and her personality does come through in several of them but, at the same time, there are a lot of images showing Aisleyne at a distance or sometimes only her back or in a crowd with so much in the way it's hard to see her properly. The last image, which because it's the last ought to be the most positive of them all, is so underexposed I had to strain to even recognize her!

The promo is ok - point a camera at Ash and it's hard not to capture some great moments - but I do think they could have done better.

Just my opinion...

And your opinion is as valid as anyone else's, of course, just as I reserve the right to think it's a bit too gloomy.

The comment you quote wasn't especially directed at your previous post, but was meant as a general point for all of us to consider, as Aisleyne's career moves into an exciting new phase.

The promo is fine IMHO, (though I can see what Julian is saying) I guess they wanted to show different sides to Ash's personality. For most of it she is shown laughing having a good time and she comes across as a bubbly fun loving personality. It's only a promo it shouldn't put people off, they will still be intrigued I think. In everything you do, you can always do better, but this will do for now, it's just the beginning. Remember Ash is just starting out finding her feet on TV, it's her first show. I am so excited for her I hope it moves to a channel that will expose her to a wider audience. It's a once in a life time experience for her showcase her abilities/skills on TV , it should be the making of her. A year ago many of us could only dream that this would happen, the fact that Ash has been given this unique opportunity is wonderful. First off she was part of a documentary then they realized her potential and give her her own show. Not 30 minutes but 60 minutes long, with her own budget and production team and Aisleyne Ltd have overall control of how the show takes shape. I believe nothing happens before time and this co-insides nicely with the launch of Unique by Aisleyne, another venture for Ash that I am pleased about. Quite often former big brother contestants fall on the way, but with Ash so far so good, it seems with her fashion line and TV show. All I can say is that she should make the most of her opportunities remaining grounded, professional, good mannered humble hard working and the sky's the limit, more doors will surely open.

Filming for RED TV had to be postponed last week due to other commitments.

http://www.aisleyne.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2050&posts...

Filming for the 'Aisleyne' TV programme will now take place in Manchester tomorrow (Tues) when Aisleyne Ltd will be reviewing production samples of both dresses and swimwear, planning for the Pure show, and discussing further ideas. There will also be a brief photoshoot, with Aisleyne wearing some of the dresses, to produce photos available for magazines and other press.

On Friday, 1st February, Aisleyne Ltd will be in Birmingham for a production meeting with Red TV, and the postponed studio filming.

Aisleyne LTD have been filming all day in Manchester and Aisleyne started a photoshoot at 20.30.  There is another meeting planned for after the shoot so it looks like being a late night.

Well given the international publicity Aisleyne has given to Crowne Plaza from her towel in the "Spanish Holiday" shoot i reckon they should put up at least ONE Aisleyne Ltd director FREE!

(I know I know - who looked at the towel? Just saddoes like me! )

Aisleyne will probably be dealing with some of the simpler email questions received during filming on Friday. The more complex ones, requiring specific scenarios are being filmed on location. So anyone wanting to submit a question for possible inclusion during Friday's filming needs to have them sent in by late Thursday evening.

On Monday Red TV will be filming Aisleyne doing a shoot modelling the "Unique by Aisleyne" range of dresses and swimwear.

On Wednesday morning Aisleyne will be in the Birmingham studios of Red TV filming various segments whilst wearing some of the new dresses.

Aisleyne LTD now plan to go to Birmingham for the studio filming late Tuesday afternoon, staying there overnight to complete session by lunchtime Wednesday.  Aisleyne LTD will then travel on to Manchester as already planned for meeting, prior to returning to London in time for Aisleyne to attend the shoestring party.

According to the SKY menu for RED, there is an "Aisleyne - Special" being shown at 8.00pm on Wednesday 27 Feb. The blurb says

"Since Big Brother, Aisleyne has rarely been out of the public eye, and the subject of much press attention. We follow her going to a party and doing what comes naturally - shopping"

Does not seem to be a repeat showing at least not during the five days following tomorrows show, which is a surprise as they repeated "Celeb's at work" loads of times. Possible there will be repeats in the next few weeks being as they have changed their schedule quite a bit since they returned from being off air for a while. Enjoy everyone.

It appears that "Celebs at work" is now on in the 8pm slot. When I got in last night and put on the planner to watch something I noticed that the "Aisleyne - Special" had gone! checked the RED menu and it had been replaced with a Thekla episode of CAW. Maybe it was an over zealous RED employee who like us can't wait to see the show and jumped the gun.

Aisleyne's very own TV show with Red TV starts this coming Saturday, 1st March. The first in the series of 60 minute programmes will air for the first time at 14:30 PM.

The first programme follows Aisleyne to Manchester where she meets the Unique Collections people to discuss progress with her dress and swimwear range ahead of the Pure Show. It will give viewers a sneak peak at the swimwear range which was subsequently held back to ensure the initial focus was on the dresses and tops.

The subsequently aborted, late evening photoshoot is also shown - the one which resulted in Aisleyne being stranded in Manchester for the night.

The second half of the programme covers the Nose of the Year 2008 awards in London. Aisleyne is seen giving an interview to Fashion TV. She also interviews and chats to various celebrities including Alesha Dixon, winner Tina O'Brien, and a slightly worse for wear Nikki Grahame.

The first programme in the new Aisleyne series has already been put online in streaming video format.  After reviewing the results of trials, we will decide whether to make this generally available a suitable time after the programme has finished airing on Red TV.

There is a chance that tomorrows show may now be a repeat of one of the Celeb shows instead of the first episode of the new series.  Red TV have a press release going out and chatting about waiting to allow the press to pick up on the programme.  This will be an overnight decision so the show may go ahead or it maybe a repeat.  As soon as a definite decision has been made this thread will be updated.

As indicated previously, Aisleyne LTD and RED TV will be reviewing the launch of the "Aisleyne" show either later, or more likely now due to the late finish today, overnight.  While it is understandable that a decision to postpone the launch will disappoint those looking forward to the show, we need to consider the increased impact and audience share that the potential press coverage we aim to attract will bring to the programme, and therefore to Aisleyne.

Todays shoot for future programs covered interviews and press briefings in connection with Aisleyne's involvment in the National No Smoking Day on 12th March. The majority of the rest of the day was spent with Aisleyne undergoing treatments for an online feature which should appear, with photographs, very shortly.

I guess it's natural people will be disappointed however it does kind of make sense. Whatever happens one things for sure the show is happening.

Great to hear about the other stuff too.

I suppose the radio interview will be up tomorrow, well at least that's something new to look forward too if the show doesn't manifest tomorrow.

Thanks for the update as always.

On reflection, I suppose the fact that Red TV has been off the air recently has affected the advertising for the show.

So as long as it is given a definite start date then that would be best for Ash.

We may have to wait until next week to get a laugh or too. Have they forgotten to tell the star of the show that the launch might be delayed? I'm sure it'll be worth waiting for (for those with Red TV).

Type in "Red tv 186" on Google and you get three sites all carrying a press release for the Doncaster Belles documentary series which started last night, so I can see the logic in getting press and publicity for "Aisleyne". Just a pity the 'forward planning' wasn't a bit more errrrr planned ;-)

The official launch of Aisleyne's new show will be on Wednesday 5th March at 20:00. The media launch, including Red TV's press release, announces that the show commences on that date and time.

Today's scheduling at 14:30 was a mistake by someone responsible for slotting programmes into the schedule, the date should have been next Saturday, 8th March at 14:30, as one of a number of repeat transmissions

However, it's now not possible to change the schedule at such a late stage, so today's airing will go ahead, but unannounced. As far as all media, schedule announcements, etc are concerned, the "Aisleyne" show launches on 5th March at 8pm. A news item to that effect is due be added to the site later today.

I enjoyed the show as well. Even though you can tell it's not made on a big budget, it was a lot better produced than Stars at Work (from what I saw of that). It was nice to hear about how the dress range came about, and finally get a look at one of these celeb events we always hear about.

It looks like some things between Ash and Nikki don't change!! Since Ash got the last word we'll say she won that round

On the whole I enjoyed it. It was much better edited than Stars At Work although there was at least one editing blunder where it was clear everyone was waiting for their queue to start speaking

The 'tantrums' were very tongue in cheek and funny so no problems there. It shows just how muich hard work goes into what Aisleyne does.

The first part was a little contradictory. First saying that Aisleyne designed most of the range then showing Ash seeing the dresses as if she'd never seen the designs before and then later talking to the Unique Boutique designer saying that it was a combined effort! The impression was that the designs were primarily by UB with Aisleyne's input on the type of thing that UB should be designing.

I don't know what the incident with Nikki was about but the way it was shown I would think most objective people's sympathy would have been with Nikki

Still, I don't want to sound too negative. It's always great to see Ash on TV and apart from the Nikki thing I think she came across really well

Hopefully that's the last we'll see of Nikki on the show. Otherwise it's great to read positive reports about the show.

Sounds interesting....

A question I want to ask is who has a final say on how the show is edited. Does Aisleyne Ltd see the final cut before it goes on air?

Concerning UBA I get the impression that Aisleyne did have a large input hence the range being called Unique by Aisleyne but at the same time it was a partnership effort. Remember this is Aisleyne's first line of clothing, she would have welcomed guidance and coaching from people who are more experienced than her in the business. Also seeing your designs in manifestation for the first time I imagine could cause an overwhelming reaction, as if you've never seen the designs before.

The thing with Nikki, I just don't know though I haven't seen it yet. I wonder how it all started, but I am surprised it made the final cut considering how the whole thing panned out.

Is this the incident previously reported in the press, where Nikki was said to be making faces behind Ash's back and Ash supposedly gave her a little shove?

Yes, but it didn't happen as reported (unless there were two incidents on the same night!) Aisleyne was seen pulling faces behind Nikki's back a couple of times, then later Nikki came over to confront her after hearing about it from her friend (from what I could tell, it was hard to hear over the music) but Aisleyne refused to speak to her about it and Nikki walked away.

I can't help thinking that there was a sequence of events that lead up to this incident that was not captured on film. There were some pictures from that event that caused me to raise my eyebrows. For instance the pictures of Nikki kissing Nick Ede from Edencancan. Did Nikki have connections with him outside of this event ? Did she meet Him prior to this party, perhaps she did, and obviously she was under the influence of drink not in total control. I think on this particular night the spotlight was on Nikki what with her throwing a tantrum and the pictures that came out are proof of this. Perhaps this is what caused a reaction, not everyone finds her tantrums funny as we know. In fact some may have been wound up by her behavior. I don't know I am just guessing but if I am wrong I can't think why this was included in the final cut, in light of how it makes Ash look. Don't get me wrong Ash is no saint no one is. Ash reads these threads perhaps she will want to shed more light on the matter, if not I think it is just one of those things and is best well left alone, especially as Ash has already said that the matter is sorted. unless of course Ash wants to shed more light on the matter.

For now IMHO I think it is best well left alone.

Just my opinion

A lot of reality fly-on-the-wall shows like to be 'warts and all' because it gives them more of an air of credibility and makes the subjects more human. Katie and Peter being an example.

Having said that, I don't think Ash came off looking too bad. Nikki was the worse for drink and acting up, dancing-wise. Aisleyne made some harmless faces showing her amusement at Nikki's antics to camera and then a friend of Nikki, apparently did a bit of stiriring by telling Nikki about it. Nikki decided to drunkenly (and rather haughtily) confront her over something Aisleyne considered pretty harmless fun and Ash didn't think the situation warranted a serious response (and seemed quite annoyed with the friend).

From Nikki's point of view I can understand why she might have been upset about being ridiculed behind her back on a TV programme and an apology rather than a rebuttal probably wouldn't have hurt but I can understand where Ash was coming from. At the end of the day it was a lot of fuss over nothing

Most 60 minute shows are 45 once you remove the adverts. So the answer is that it's both

Yeah

Having seen it Ash was just making fun of Nikki's dancing, it was nothing serious just tongue and cheek I think.

The main thing is that it appears to be cleared up.

I don't think they are the best of friends but generally I think they try and keep their relationship civilized as much as possible.

I hope former BB7 housemates apart from Ash's genuine friends don't appear on this show again. It's amazing how a storm in a teacup can cause a backlash. Some people do things and it's deemed as entertainment others do the same thing or similar and they are judged harshly. It will be interesting to know whether Aisleyne Ltd watched the show before it was aired. I have a feeling Ash was wound up by a certain person, who constantly plays the same card drawing attention to herself. Also by the pictures that came out after that night a certain person out did herself yet again with maximum effect. I have to say though that though no one is perfect, when you are in the public eye people are watching you and judge your every move.

Seeing all the fuss over Nikki making an exhibition of herself at Nose of the Year, deliberately moving into camera shoot, etc, after having had a fair amount of refreshments, perhaps a simple answer to a query I've seen raised several times.

Aisleyne indicated that she's seen the episode in the Hi Aisleyne thread. In fact Aisleyne Limited watched the show several times before it was aired - both in Birmingham and in London (Red TV have provided a streaming facility to the directors).

The atmosphere was very much like watching a home movie - laughing for most of it. There was no part that they had any problems with. The only edit that Aisleyne Ltd requested was a change to the running order of a couple of scenes at the Nose of the Year Awards, and that only because they felt it made the programme flow better. There's nothing in the programme that causes Aisleyne Ltd any concern - and certainly nothing that they would contemplate having removed.

It's not anyones fault on this board, but I am a puzzled as to why they can't seem to get it right.

Is this a weekly show? or is it every 2 to 3 weeks.

Someone needs to have a word in their ear to be frank it's embarrassing for the whole channel not just for Aisleyne Ltd, if I had Sky I would be livid.

It will not be a weekly show but there will be more than 12 episodes so it is not a monthly show.  This is what RED TV may be having problems with as far as the broadcasting schedule is concerned.  They have to give information quite a long way in advance to the TV guides and maybe that is where the problem lies.

If they want to build up a regular audience they need to have a regular schedule. Nothing kills off a series quicker than messed around schedules

The TV guides normally need a month in advance for the listings magazines but the online Sky Guide only carries a week and is designed to cope with last minute changes. I've seen synopses for some live shows like BB etc. carrying info that could only have been written within days.

Of course they're a small channel with much less resources than the majors. I guess we tend to take the kind of slick professionalism of the mainstream channels for granted but it is annoying

RED TV submit their schedule details to sky approximately 10 days in advance.  They immediately hit a problem with the first episode being shown on the wrong day and it threw the schedule off track.  The schedule should be back on track once episode 2 is broadcast.

It's not anyones fault on this board, but I am a puzzled as to why they can't seem to get it right.

Is this a weekly show? or is it every 2 to 3 weeks.

Someone needs to have a word in their ear to be frank it's embarrassing for the whole channel not just for Aisleyne Ltd, if I had Sky I would be livid.

you say its not anyones fault on this board, but I would like to blame premierscfc, not because its his fault, I'd just like to do it

I thought it was a weekly show.

Its not a weekly show, but its on every week.

Totally logical.

Below is the link to next scheduled screenings of the programme (from Sky EPG):

If I had Sky, I wouldn't be complaining or blaming premierscfc. I would have the week off work and watch Red TV 24/7 so I wouldn't miss the show.

come on blame premierscfc you know you want to. Its like some people when it comes to football, the rules (in this case the scheduling) are made by others, but its the ref (in this case, premierscfc) who is blamed for it.

So I say drop premierscfc

Ooh, someone's in for a Red Card soon

Just to confuse things further, the coming Wednesday episode for Aisleyne has a new caption:

"Once again we follow her as she meets her friends and business associates"

but the Saturday after that is back to the second caption about the Tabernacle school.

We may not be getting to see all these new episodes but at least we're getting a good heads up on what we're missing

The deal with RED TV provides that Aisleyne Ltd has final approval on the programme before transmission.  Although several episodes are ready, and have probably been advertised in the schedules, they haven't yet been seen for approval, so Red is prevented from airing them.  There has been a technical problem with the stream that RED TV provides to Aisleyne LTD that has held things up, this will be sorted as soon as possible.

There's also the fact that the first episode is continuing to generate a surprising amount of positive viewer reaction.

http://www.barb.co.uk/viewingsummary/weekreports.cfm?report=multich...

RED's daily reach is pretty modest, and it didn't help that they were off-air for two weeks, but their weekly reach figure increased by 11,000 viewers on the previous week. This was the week in which 'Aisleyne' first aired, so maybe her show has something to do with the higher total...?

Yay! Finally a new episode

The episode today was a new one with Aisleyne taking us on a tour of her old streets with some talk of her background as she cruised past the hostel she used to stay at and then met up with a close friend. It's nice to see that Ash has her own transport now - although you might want to brush up on your parking skills Ash

Part of the epsiode was a bit of an advert for the Tabernacle School, a Church-funded operation which Aisleyne's godson is staying at.

Later she met up with Imogen and they planned an evening of clubbing together - lots of talk of makeup products but fortunately they mentioned so many brands that product placement probably doesn't really apply

The production seemed a lot slicker this time with the video affects and music working quite well. Aisleyne was as lovely as ever. I found the charity appeal a bit blatant to be honest but it's great that Ash is using the programme to promote worthy causes besides herself

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it - loved the Sunglasses joke

Regards

Julian

Thanks to Aisleyne Ltd for that clip. A very slick start. I quite like the 'split screen' edit they do. Plus, as its never ever been remarked upon before, isn't Ash a prodigious gum chewer? Its not good for your insides, so I'm told

P.S. It may not be gum that she's chewing of course...

Hopefully we should not have to wait too long before episode 3 is aired. It has now been approved for transmission subject to a couple of minor alterations. Episodes 4 and 5 are also in the edit suite so things should run smoother now as far as transmission is concerned.

Concerning the Aisleyne Show

I was happy when I heard Aisleyne got her own show, but now what with all the confusion, I am not sure. When exactly is it supposed to be on. Is it once a fortnight night? I am assuming Red TV know when it is due to be aired why can't they just publish a schedule telling people when it is to be aired. Surely if Red TV want to boost the ratings this information should be readily available. To be honest I don't get it, I haven't got Red TV but it must be double frustrating for those who have got it.

Red TV do publish a schedule.  If you have Sky then the epg tells you when it is on.  I don't have Sky but I subscribe to Digiguide which covers evry channel on every platform.

http://www.gipsymedia.com/

The show is on 6 times over the next 8 days:

6/4/2008 - 11.00-12.00

7/4/2008 - 18.30-19.30

10/4/2008 - 18.30-19.30

12/4/2008 - 18.00-19.00

13/4/2008 - 11.30-12.30

14/4/2008 - 18.30-19.30

So far only 2 episodes have been aired.  As far as I am aware episode 2 has been shown once and all the other shows have been repeats of episode 1.  Episode 3 is complete and ready to broadcast and episodes 4 and 5 are in the edit suite having the final touches applied.  I don't know when Red plan to broadcast each particular episode as you can't tell from the program description in the TV guides.  As soon as I get any news about the show it will be on the forum.

Thank you for that and  I stand corrected on some points, however it would be much easier  if we knew it was due to be on  every 2 or 3 weeks at the moment it's just like pot luck.

It's no ones fault on this board, and it's great Red TV have given Ash this opportunity but it's a shame no one really knows exactly when a new show is going to be aired.

I will leave it at that.

Is there any way we can get Red TV to notify this website before they show a new episode? We didn't get notice of either episode previously and there's no Series Link option so at the moment I'm having to schedule recording of every show manually just in case it's new

Are there any plans to move The Aisleyne show to a more commerical channel.

Why don't Red TV do a live stream of the show via the internet like before. It's a shame you can't catch it on the internet. I am sure some would even agree to pay a small fee if it was aired.

Will Red make shows already aired available to her website.

I don't know how many people have sky but I don't think many do.

Next Saturday morning looks interesting.  3 back to back episodes, surely they can't repeat episode 1 3 times, or can they?

I know the Aisleyne Show does exist somehow, but as to when it's on I believe it when I see it or hear that they have shown it

At least Red TV are filming Aisleyne next Thursday

Another POSSIBLE sighting....

You must understand my humour...which overturns my frustration

Seeing as others have not yet checked their SKY+, I guess I am the first to notice that there was a new episode broadcast on Saturday evening (it was the 6.00pm showing)

The show stated with the final ten minutes of the previous episode with Ash at Imogens chatting about that night and debating where to spend the evening.

After the break we came back to find Ash in a taxi on her way to the no smoking events that she had planned, she talked about a new mobile that she had taken delivery of a few days earlier and how it was not texting so it needed to be changed but she did menton that the camera quality was awesome and showed us some photos she had on it with her friends.

We then went into the interview she did with The Daily Goss (as available on line).

After the break she told us while in a taxi that she was off to SAKS to have some hair and beauty treatment and although she wanted a facial she said that meant she had to remove her makeup and even though she did it in BB she said not now with the cameras present as she was "once bitten twice shy"

We saw Ash enter SAKS and meet the lady that was going to do her extentions, they chatted about the proceedure for a while as the extention lady and Ash decided what she would have done. After the extentions were done (it looked great by the way) Ash spoke with another lady and decided that she would have her eyebrows tinted as it meant she would not have to apply makeup in the morning, Ash had this done and was very impressed with the work and also had her lower eyelids numbed before having eyeliner applied (we did not see this but I would guess a semi-permanent eyeliner was used)

During the programme a guy took photos and came on screen saying that the photos were on jamesdonovanuk.com

Even though this show was enjoyale I did not find it as entertaining as episode 2, like others I wish that RED would decide a day and time to show a new episode every three weeks or so and then we would know that every episode between those times and days would be a repeat of the previous one. Like others I have to record all the showings (mainly the evening ones) just in case it's a new one. Having said that it is great to see Ash on the TV and that is the main thing.

I am sure that someone who also managed to catch the show can gave a better synopsis than me.

Thanks, fiesta, that's a highly informative summary for us Sky-less ones.

It seems that her use of the phrase "warts and all" in the Nuts TV interview is to be interpreted strictly metaphorically

And that IS a terrific portrait by James donovan.

Lovely photo.

And the programme was only transmitted two days ago, so we very nearly got prior notice of it.

Thanks Fiesta. I just noticed it was a new one this evening (just finishing watching it). I logged on to post about it but you've given a much better write-up than I would have done

I'm not sure why the last part of the previous episode was added to the first part of this one. I guess it was either a mistake or they ran out of footage at the beauty salon and had to add some padding

I wasn't keen on the choice of song near the end and they should, ideally, have changed the aspect ratio of the Smoking Day interview so that we wouldn't have to do it manually but, other than that, I thought it was very well put together.

I actually preferred this episode to the previous one. Aisleyne was clowning around and very funny. Apparently, we men shouldn't stress the women out so much as it's making their hair fall out

One thing I can say about these episodes is I always finish watching them with a big smile on my face

Regards

Julian

Some input here from Red TV regarding scheduling.  Episode two has been re-edited, and now starts at Pure, which wasn't previously part of episode two, and the Imogen segment has been transferred to episode three - it isn't in episode two any more.  Red TV plan to show all of the first three episodes as consecutive programmes as a sort of catch up for everyone.

Looking at the schedule on Digiguide it loks like this may happen on Saturday morning.

The re-edited episode two was shown today. We got to see Aisleyne at the Pure exhibition showing off her dresses on the rack. Some models were there modelling them too. She mentioned that she had originally been in talks with Lipsy but they had only agreed to let her design one dress whereas UB had agreed to a whole range.

They did edit together two takes of the same thing on a couple of occasions which was a bit odd but, heh, a good thing is always worth repeating

Some of the original episode two looks like it has been re-edited as well. Some of the split screen stuff features different pictures (much more appropriate than the original shots of someone leafing through More magazine!) and I think I spotted some extra dialogue too

I like the way Aisleyne addresses the viewers at times. It's very different from the usual programme like this.

I've only seen half of the episode so far as I have to rush off to rehearsal but if there's anything significantly different about the second half I'll let you know later (or someone else will, I'm sure).

Ok, so one's about an argumentative girlfriend and the other is about a criminal and a prostitute (with a certain four-letter word broadcast before the watershed for that matter).

It seems a bit of an odd soundtrack to go with Aisleyne having her hair done

Hmm. That one's particularly difficult to make out the lyrics and even when I looked them up they didn't make much sense but the gist of it seemed to be about someone's girlfriend being out to get them.

I wonder if the person who chose the soundtrack for this episode was having girl problems

I have managed to see some of the shows. I think it is going very well, it shows Aisleyne in a ordinary light, in a nice way. It is very down to earth, she seems very down to earth as well. I like the way it's different every week as well. I'd like to see a series dedicated to Unique By Aisleyne showing her actual involvement, the work that goes on behind the scenes that would be very interesting. Ash is very photogenic and a complete natural in front of the camera she will make a great presenter. She presents her own show well. It's great Ash has been given this opportunity, it could open the door to greater things for her if it hasn't already. I wonder if the series once it's finished will be sold to another channel here or abroad I wonder if that's possible, or is this just exclusively for Red TV.

Case in point - tonight was a new episode

The first 10 minutes or so were taken from the Nuts TV interview that Aisleyne gave some time back (apparently Nuts TV gave permission to show it). The rest of the episode followed Aisleyne through several "No Smoking Day" events.

During the Nuts interview the original programme had showed a clip of the opening credits for the Red TV show. This time Red replaced it with an interesting medley of graphics and clips which was actually very well done

The rest of the show was pretty good too. It was quite amusing seeing Aisleyne yawning her way through a presentation after a long day (I think the cameraman delighted in catching her out!).

The editing at the end was a bit chaotic (lots of fast clips and strange staccato music) but all in all it was another enjoyable slice of Aisleyne

It did occur to me that the phrase was a little reminiscent of a certain Irishman but I figured that's no reason to have to go to the trouble of coming up with something else

Interesting article, especially about their efforts to produce 70% of their own programming. I think this quote shows they have a good strategic fit with Aisleyne

"But the channel’s heart lies with celebrity. ‘Our primary target is men from 18-35,’ says Bal, ‘which means fun, young, reality, and sometimes a bit racy.’ "

I noticed yesterday that "Aisleyne" was scheduled to air at 11pm on that Brit Hits music channel (which now doesn't seem to be showing any music). I recognised a few of the programme titles from Red so it must be the same people behind the channel.

There's also an episode airing this morning and probably at other times too.

Yay! I just happened to pop in, so I turned on my Freesat box and caught the last 5 minutes of this. Ash at the Tabernacle School.

That channel (Brit Hits TV, which used to be Red TV),is also now showing a lot of 'Psychic TV', who I think hire (rent?) airtime from other channels.

There's no telling what might turn up on it?

Suddenly your Freesat box has paid for itself - with just 5 minutes of Aisleyne action

There's more episodes/airings coming up over the next few days so it'll be a good opportunity for me to see the episodes I didn't catch the first time around.

I watched the first half of today's episode and enjoyed it. Ash launching her fashion range, driving (and moaning) and meeting up with her mates. I've got the rest on Sky+ for another time.
