Aisleyne gets several mentions in Charlie's new book, Dawn of the Dumb. Its a collection of his articles from Screen Burn and other Guardian columns in the past couple of years. She's mentioned positively in his comments on BB7 and then there's the Glastonbury article reprinted in full. He even manages to big her up in the Index, with "Aisleyne (BB 2006)", "is lovely" and "is lovelier still" within his comments

Aw, how sweet.

As soon as I wake up
Every night, every day
I know that it's you I need
To take the blues away

It must be love, love, love
It must be love, love, love
Nothing more, nothing less
Love is the best

It must be love, love, love...

Thanks, sounds like an ideal stocking filler.

PS: The book, not Aisleyne.

Waterstones seem to be the cheapest supplier of the book at the moment...

However, it may well be worth waiting until the January sales start.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can fill a stocking (or two) like Aisleyne!

ash you were so funny in screenwipe as ususal.
more of the same please.
and you look absolutely amazing in frocks when you go out or pose in your new range.
they suit you cos you have such a slender frame.
i will look out for the new clothing range with eager anticipation.
you should do all the modelling yourself to cut down on overheads (but don't splay your legs out too wide when you pose in your dresses though , cos you know how judgemental women are of each other.)
have a wonderful xmas ash.
we all love you so much.

Just came across this brief but favourable review of "Dawn of the Dumb" which appeared on the Daily Mirror "Opinion" blog site a couple of months ago.

The reviewer's objectivity must be questioned, however, as I believe she is actually mentioned favourably by Brooker in the book, and I understand she is also a close friend of his.

She too is an author and her book is also mentioned in the article.

Her name?

Oh, someone called Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace.
