Aisleyne made an appearance tonight on the BBC News Channel's E24 slot to discuss the axing of Big Brother by Channel 4 after next year's 11th series.

She appeared alongside the News of the World's Dan Wootton.

She argued the show could continue with fewer 'wannabes' and suggested they should put 10 bankers in the house

It was a good interview. I expected her to say she wanted it to stay, even though I think a new channel would be a good thing. She said she enjoys watching it and enjoys writing about it. I found her suggestions (fresh ideas, adopting some ideas from BBUSA, selecting less ambitious people) interesting, although I would favour a return to the original format. Aisleyne named the absence of the live feed this year as a possible cause of the decline in media interest in BB, as journalists haven't been able to follow it.

They've been interviewing former housemates from earlier shows on TV and radio today. Both Craig and Nick criticized the selection of wannabees in recent years. I expected a question about Aisleyne's media aspirations and she answered it well. She said that that she hoped to gain something from it, but did not expect to still be working in the industry. Excellent interview with some very astute comments.
Well Done Aisleyne

Thanks for those screen-shots Secret.

I didn't catch the interview, but it sounds like she made a lot of sense.

Ha, I was looking at that for about 30 seconds, then realised it was me that uploaded it. Duh! Sorry, meant to tell the forum last night, I'd uploaded it as part of a blog post that I'd written ages ago about reality TV dying and have updated it last night since BB10 came to a finish. The Nick Bateman interview with Sky News I also uploaded.

Thanks for that, I was wondering if I'd ever get to see it. Ash was great, very self-assured

I've just realised - something I think I have kicking around in my cupboard is the The Culture Show item on George Orwell's "1984", where Aisleyne contributes and talks to another feminist icon, Germaine Greer ;-)

Also features a few other previous BB HMs (including Ash's friend, Pete). Is this worthy for an upload too, happy gang?

I think we have most bases covered but if you ever do have anything that we have missed then feel free to contribute as it will be very much appreciated.

Well, I originally uploaded the BBC News Ash item, as well as the Sky News Nick Bateman item - so, I should have the Sky News item with Ash as well? Upload for that then? :-)
