Charlie Brooker's article on his trip to Glastonbury is on pages p5-8 of today's G2 section of the Guardian. Aisleyne features in the article a lot and there's also a large photo of the two of them together.

The article is also available online at...

Thanks, that's brilliant!

Sounds like Ash was able to use HER influence to get Charlie up close to the Marleys!

I'd love to have seen the unsuccessful skank lesson!

Some broadsheet mentions should really boost the Celebdaq points too! I'm off to buy the Guardian!

Hope Aisleyne has escaped unscathed, given her tendency to accident-proneness.

loved this bit :

"But who should I go with? Everyone I knew either didn't want to go or already had a ticket. In fact, the only person who'd expressed any interest at all was Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, the "ghetto princess" from last year's Big Brother, who has, inexplicably, become a friend of mine in recent months. So I invited her."

uh-huh .

that was a brilliant article , Brooker is really funny , wish they'd done some tv stuff .
But I notice that Ash sorta disappears towards the end of the article , is Brooker being discrete, after all ash's tent was dead , where did she stay ?

k

edit - how come there's 28 guests online ? usually it's about 8 , is something going on ?

It might be because of this article.

I've bought my copy now and it's nice to see the Charlie Brooker article is mentioned on the front page of the paper (as well as the front page of G2).

Nice to see the picture of Aisleyne and Charlie, but what is he staring at?

It sure is a great picture of "the odd couple"!

I'd call it a "rich picture" because it's absolutely loaded with semiotics. There's our Ash, next to her good friend "Mr Misanthropic", in her Che Guevara T-shirt/combat gear/wellies in the hippy mud of Glasto doing her best "pose-and-pout" glamour stuff IN THE GUARDIAN! You couldn't make it up!

One minus point, though. As it appears in the G supplement rather than the paper proper, it looks like there won't be any Celebdaq divi from this.

Aisleyne is sort-of mentioned in this one.

Great post ofni and no I couldn't make it up. It must have been you who used to review those Beatles album covers. I can equate the images you describe with the unlikely, but inexplicably amusing phenomenon of the Ash - Charlie friendship. I hope it develops and look forward to your analysis of their next public appearance.

Nice to see Aisleyne in the Guardian supplement instead of the Daily Star. I'm sure that picture will have pride of place in every school staff room.

Here's an interesting blog entry that mentions the Charlie Brooker article. It also talks about Che Guevara (but not Aisleyne's top) and Pete Bennett being friends with another ex-BBer, Ken Russell...
