Hopefully, he'll make it on to this one. It would be nice if Aisleyne featured too, in the pages of the magazine at the very least.

He'll just fill the mag with Big Pictures photos! He'll get paid for appearing on the show and BP will get paid for the photos! Very crafty!

However, that's assuming that the magazine will actually be published.

Oh good. I hope he does go on it! I shall be watching..I like Darryn...good business brains are worth watching in my view..

Just as an afterthought... they are making reality TV out of nearly every situation they can think of... we ought to do a spoof thread about subjects we can think of to do reality TV over.

Good for him. I like Darryn too.
But I forget what his connection to Aisleyne is. What exactly does he do to help our Ash?
Thanks in advance.

Darryn Lyons is nominally Ash's manager.
He also owns the picture agency 'Big Pictures'.
Little Women Management where Claire is Ash's agent is also part of his empire.

So the magazine will feature in Closer magazine, which Aisleyne has made a few appearances in.

Yvette Fielding and Blair McDonough were snapped by Film Magic covering a celebrity event yesterday for the show.

For some reason they aren't properly identified though

Bucktooth Bertha vs The Crest-headed One! This is going to be good, innit?

Wonder if DL manages a bit of "product placement" for Aisleyne; it's not as if she's unknown to Joe Mott and Closer magazine, is it?

Still, even if not it surely must be case of "what's good for Darryn is good for Aisleyne".

Good spot, secret. Looks like the contestants have to get their own papshots. Darryn's gonna mince 'em, isn't he?

Though many find her odd, I like Janet Street Porter and it will definately be interesting to see what happens with her and Darryn.

I was disappointed we did not get to see Darryn on Big Brother..but now hes on ITV2 I shall be watching next Wednesday. There are quite a few reality programmes around but I think this one will be good because of the idea behind it.

On the coolfotodudes pics Aisleyne is shown doing her interview with FHM. The next sign along says "Deadline" and it looks like in the next pic she's being interviewed by Deadline (though I don't recognise the interviewer - one of the contestants presumably?)

So what's the chances of Aisleyne being on the programme or in the programme magazine? She's been covered by pretty much everyone else, so, Darryn, I hope you've done your stuff on this one.

Aisleyne was briefly featured at the beginning. They showed some footage taken from the "I Want Candy" premiere and she got about 2 seconds of screen time. There was no interview or anything, just footage of her being papped by non-Deadline photographers.

The premiere didn't feature in the programme other than that brief bit at the beginning. It was probably just footage they shot for the intro to show the world of celebs and paparazzi. Anyway, repeated at 11pm at ITV1.

She wasn't one of the contestants, but I think I spotted her once sitting next to Darryn Lyons. So she must be a non-celeb member of staff.

Not the best screengrabs, as there was a lot of shaky camera work! The first two are from the pre-titles sequence...

The third is from the titles sequence, there is a camera which features a lot and is that Aisleyne in the camera? Hard to tell from this screengrab I'm afraid!

Danielle Lloyd also got a brief look in, but Aisleyne got the most screen time out of the lot of them!

On rewatching the show, I noticed a nice bit where Darryn Lyons was saying you had to "elbow people out of the way" in this profession and then they cut to Aisleyne on the red carpet doing her "hands on hips, elbows out" pose.

EDIT:

And here's that elbow shot...

Kinda losing count of how many times I've missed the beginning of this. Oh, well, thanks for all the timings - just need to stay here 24/7 to see them.

From her radio show it sounds like the contestants have been doing some Aisleyne spotting.

I just love the idea of celebs papping Mr Papparazzi cos he's meeting Aisleyne! Is that cool or wot?

Aisleyne again appeared in the pre-titles sequence, same footage. The camera bit in the titles definitely isn't her. Also, the footage of her during the Darryn Lyons intro was missing this time.

Chris Parker was the first one to be sacked! I quite agree, he shouldn't stopped his colleagues from getting those photos of Fearne Cotton and the Geldolf party.

Whoops! I assumed it would be the same again.

Anyway, the next show is on Wednesday April 11th at 10pm on ITV2 and Aisleyne could be on it.

Also, the first issue of Deadline magazine will be inside next Tuesday's issue of Closer magazine.

I do SO hope Darryn's meeting with Aisleyne is featured in the next programme, for a number of reasons

1. Obviously, it would be so good for Aisleyne's profile, and would surely "cement" her celeb status in a very big way, though I'd say that her (albeit fleeting) appearances on last week's show did help to do that anyway. Her BB7 finale exit was, I thought an unrepeatable experience as she so enjoyed the crowds, the cameramen, the flashbulbs etc. But at the Candy premiere there she was again all these months later, on the red carpet and doing it for real this time. Magic.

2. Equally obviously, the more Ash appears on TV, the happier we shall be!

3. It would just SO appeal to my love of postmodern irony. I found the whole Chantelle story endlessly fascinating, but this one is simply mindblowing. Here with Deadline we have a reality show, featuring celebrities acting as paparazzi getting pics of their reality show "boss", who is "Mr Paparazzi" meeting with one of his celebrity clients, who is a celebrity as a result of a reality show. You couldn't make it up, could you? And as for appearing in Closer magazine, well no big deal - even the contents of her fridge were in it this week!

4. I would then be looking forward to seeing a debate on "another forum elsewhere" asking the question "Is Darryn Lyons the new John Noel?"

Roy Greenslade (ex-Mirror editor) is just jellus that he's not in it, so he blogs against it.

Who'd have thought? - rivalry between a man and a woman (JS-P) in the same line of business.

I'm not the slightest bit ashamed to say that he's wrong about 'Deadline' and that will become clear to him, in time, accompanied by the sound of backfiring.

Surely you mean last week's "shows", she was on both. Also, if you count the repeats, then from Wednesday to Sunday she will have been on 13 shows!

Very crafty of Darryn to send the photographers to an area where he just happened to be having a meeting with Aisleyne!

She looked nice in that white dress though and both Dom and Blair got a photo of her, so maybe one will feature in the mag?

I thought she wasn't going to be on, as lunchtime on April 5th had passed. According to the programme, those photos were taken a while after 4.35pm and we all know she was somewhere else at that time! A bit of time manipulation went on there!

Knowing Darryn's integrity as a picture editor, the pics will only be in the mag if they are good enough. Just because you get papped twice having lunch with a magazine's picture editor who also happens to be your manager, doesn't mean you'll automatically be in the mag does it?

And regarding the disparaging comment in the commentary, it doesn't seem to match the fact that the celeb in the programme's pre-title footage is - AISLEYNE!

I uploading some screengrabs at the moment. Lots of shaky camera work and zooming during the segment, so it was hard to get some good ones. If I was providing these pictures for the magazine, then Darryn would give me the sack!

I like the way she had to get her trademark tongue-pulling in there!

Anyway, it's about time this thread was moved into the TV & Radio section.

This was really excellent and I managed to get to see it for the first time. Ais looked totally fantastic as always...and Darryn is genuinely an everton mint....hard on the outside and definately a softie on the inside...I love watching him..hes just like Janet..totally off the wall...and I love that...Ais looked really sweet in her knee high socks and pretty white outfit...she always looks lovely ....

If you missed it, it's on again at 1.55 am on ITV2 and 2.55 am on ITV2+1. There will probably be another repeat on Sunday on ITV2.

Also, the next episode (with the sacking!) will be on tomorrow at 10pm. No Aisleyne though, other than maybe the bit in the pre-titles sequence.

Your right about voice-over man, empty - I've marked his card.

It's narrated by Simon Allix, but he's probably reading a script (no writer credited though).

Well done maringo!

I got the impression from the radio show that Ash didn't realise they were from the 'Deadline' show at first, and just thought she was being papped as per usual.

I'd love it if they had a twist like a certain other reality TV show, where the person who leaves is replaced by a new arrival. Perhaps someone who is used to being a late arrival and has been on the show already.

She appears right at the end and it should be repeated on Sunday on ITV2 (probably about 10pm). We've just added a video snippet to the video section, but don't forget to watch/record the show on Sunday too.

Exactly, some people make a big deal out of nothing and keep on about it. I'm so not like that at all. I think Aisleyne was spot on when she said I was amazing a few weeks back.

Anyway, someone is going to be fired tonight, will it be lovestruck Iwan?

Janet had enough of Lisa and booted her out early, then Blair was the one to face the boot at the end! They should've booted Ingrid out instead, because at least Blair took some nice pictures of Aisleyne!

Aisleyne again featured in the pre-titles sequence, so it looks like it'll be a regular thing.

Here's a YouTube of the important moment in history when Darryn lashed out at Lisa. Lisa wanted to be somewhere else, so Darryn handed her over to Janet for the ultimate encounter.

maringo,

just to clarify - are you sure Ash is in the first show ?
Ash was in the most recent episode wasn't she? so wouldn't that be the second episode since they're both repeats ?

anyway I'll tape both to be sure!

She's in both actually, with the "I Want Candy" footage at the beginning of every episode. However, the Wednesday episode also featured Aisleyne being papped and the Thursday episode was the sacking. So it's the first one you want.

Also, there's always the footage in the video section, in case you forget to record it.

A new name to me (Giles Smith) because I don't follow much sport but I think Joe Mott would keep at least three of GS's comedy lines from that piece.

Well they moved Darryn's lunch with Aisleyne to around 5pm, so they've definitely got their own special timeline on the show!

Nice to see Aisleyne yet again in the pre-credits sequence. Not so nice to see Abi fail to recognise Timbaland! She's definitely putting herself in the firing line for tomorrow!

If they are messing with the chronology in order to" tell a story" regarding Abi Titmuss, I dreamt up the following possible scenario.

OK, picking up from last night - Abi is now in the last chance saloon and her task is still to get pics of Justin Timberlake.

Said JT is supposedly throwing a party at Crystal, so Abi is despatched to cover it.

In YD-image's words "Justin Timberlake throws a party, but can't be bothered to show up". CRISIS! So Abi must try to make the best of it by papping as many celebs who DO turn up as she can - (cue Aisleyne?????) The tension builds, has she made up for her Timberlake failure? She takes her pics back to Darryn, blaming the camera as she goes.

We know the event was last Thursday, but in the programme's "reconstructed chronology" the date is Friday 13th - "Abi's unlucky day yadda yadda"

Whaddaya reckon peeps?

That seems a likely possibility! You should work for the show!

If that is the case, then perhaps it might be preferable for Aisleyne not to feature in the episode. Unless of course she's hanging out in the VIP room with Timbaland!

I love watching Deadline in fact I can start to be a bore about it so I wont go there.....

...except to say its either Ingrid, Abi or Imogen getting the boot tonight. Loving Darryn still he cant do any wrong in my eyes because you can see exactly how he has done well for himself..he just cuts to the chase...

I dont want anyone to go...doh....but I only realised who Joe is yesterday...ahem..yes..Joe is Joe Mott, the chap who is always mentioning Ais in a most peculiarly unflattering way....

hummm...

regarding who is gonna get the sack....well...anyone of those girls we know...but it could be Abi....she is not really pulling her weight and she does seem to get herself in all the pics....

Actually, it's been 50/50 with him, sometimes nice, sometimes nasty. He was coaching a reluctant Yvette on how to be nasty in a previous episode and she seems to be catching on quite well now. Not that I'm saying she has become nasty!

I think the media world is like that though M. Its a dog eat dog existance and you cannot afford to be 'nice' - I doubt Darryn would be successful if he did,nt exercise ruthless tendencies..you dont get rich and succeed if you dont have the killer instinct...
Id imagine the photographic and magazine world are very very competative...and nobody can stay the top dog so they constantly claw for the best place....that certainly does,nt leave much room to be ' nice'... it might be worth considering also that Yvette is showing the strongest talent too...so she has understood what is required for that business....

I think it's like Michael Corleone says, it's nothing personal, it's just BUSINESS. It's the faustian deal celebs do with the paps and journos. Yes, you'll get coverage, but don't expect it to be necessarily NICE coverage. Nasty or nice will depend on "what comes into my head" as a sharp/witty/funny/clever/whatever turn of phrase as I rush something together to meet the "Deadline" - which is what we saw Joe Mott doing last week with Yvette - she absorbed the lesson and has got the brownie points from Joe, Darryn and Janet accordingly.

Not QUITE right was I? Ho hum.

Obviously, Justin's no-show at the Crystal club was one of the many nails in Abi's coffin and they couldn't be bothered to show it in the programme.

However, Aisleyne was in the pre-titles sequence again, but why do they always show her back? The front is much more interesting!

That was one of the most revealing segments of the series, so far, for me.

Joe was saying, in effect, that celebrities are under obligation not to be offended by negative copy. The papers must avoid becoming (ab)used by the celeb's publicity machine otherwise their readers will feel they're being used (even though they are) ... the target celebs have to appreciate that.

---

I seem to have developed a habit of watching it and then watching the repeat, straight after on ITV2+1

---

I could scoop up the lovely Imogen L-W and go way off topic.

I'm sure he'd have a go at me for arbitrarily incorrect use of ... the ellipsis!!!

Never been a fan of the ... !

Maybe you can check but I don't think I've ever written a post which didn't include a hyphen (a bit of a hyphen-wh*re, me).

On topic: Deadline is my fave reality ever and it's not down to Imogen L-W love. She doesn't come into it at all. I don't know why I brought her into it.

Yvette to WIN! - Dom second!! The rest ... joint third.

Dom: What else do street-sweepers wear?
Iwan: I dunno ... tool-belt?
Dom: Hmmm - let's keep this, like, hetero, shall we?

Joe Mott said something interesting - basically that if you print something slagging someone off they then will likely ring up and request that they give their side of the story in an interview , so it's a good way of baiting them into giving a proper interview .

personally I wouldn't sack Abi, she wants to be in the photos, get her to an underwear shoot, that'd get a few more male readers !

I never thought I'd say this, but they'd better start slagging Aisleyne off in the magazine then.

If they want to be in the magazines their managers will arrange to get them in the magazines - for an appropriate fee. If the magazines want the celebrity they'll pay.

What Joe is basically saying is it's a way of getting a celebrity to be in the magazine for less money!

Aisleyne appeared in the pre-titles sequence yet again, but no appearance elsewhere in the programme.

They seem to be running short of photos for the magazine and are using some old ones, so maybe they could use one of Aisleyne. Preferably one that's not showing an unhealthy build-up of earwax, clean out your ears Daniel Radcliffe!

I really enjoyed this programme again last night...Darryn looked extra colourful I think he must have touched up the Pink and Green in his hair... Dom Joly is starting to grate on my nerves now...hes a real plonker and so unprofessional sozzling all the champagne and then expecting to represent a magazine...doh! Ingrid I do feel sorry for in a way, she seems an extra nice woman, but when she interviewed the guy who was supposed to look like Brad Pitt..I was belly laughing when Darryn screwed up his face and said he looks nothing like Brad Pitt as thats exactly what I thought.... The earwax was ugh! Harry Potter will never be the same again.....

I still think Yvette will win this or maybe Iwan...I felt so sorry for him when Dom decided to pretend Darryn had written him an 'envelope' rotten basket...!! I really hope that when this series is over that they decide to make it a regular and do another as you can learn a lot about the basics of journalism and taking photos...it has me glued and that has nothing to do with Harry Potter...

...as an afterthought, I agree that there is plenty of room to have featured Aisleyne....

Yes Odm, I thought I'd been watching it just on the possibility of seeing Aisleyne, but even though I knew she wouldn't be on last night (except for the pre-title fixture), I realised that I was hooked anyway. I especially liked Yvette's little tirade against herself, or at least the paparazzi monster she turns into when she's "at work" ("show us yer tush, love" etc). Dom IS an eedjit, though, isn't he?

Re your afterthought, while I would love to see Ash appear again and in the mag, I'm sure that if there was another valid opportunity for Darryn to fix an appearance for her, he would. She HAS appeared in the programme, and I reckon that's as much "John Noelling" as we can expect. I hope I'm totally wrong of course........

PFA Yes.

PFA After Party No.

They'd have got better pics if they'd covered the After-party. Ash's protruding bone would have put Harry Potter's earwax in the shade, gruesome-wise.

Thanks for your earlier concerns -- appreciated

Imogen has been robbed of all her friends and contacts because of Deadline. but gained my loyalty, instead.

Yvette to win!

Aisleyne doesn't feature in this week's issue of Deadline. It's available in the centre of Closer magazine or you can download it for free here...

I just caught up with the second of last week's shows. I thought Darryn's haircut was his best yet

Last night, for the first time, Aisleyne wasn't in the pre-titles sequence.

However, Darryn did have another meeting at Pompidou, but it was with Janet Street Porter this time. He certainly pulled the wool over her eyes there!

Last night Dom Joly was looking for a Model that everyone would know to do a clothes fashion shoot...and he decided to try Danielle Lloyd!! Her management were not having any of it because she had had a recent boob op (Im sure I read that Danielle had a lump in her breast or something....dont quote me...)...in the end he got 17 year old Melanie Slade...all the while I was watching this I thought Ais would have been perfect for that fashion shoot...but her name did,nt come up...

also they were papping at China Whites too...

Its funny how the first thing that would come to mind with any of us is Aisleyne, firstly as a perfect Model and secondly as a person you would hope to see coming out of China Whites...

I was surprised too. I thought it would be Ingrid! It looks like Aisleyne has been permanently given the boot from the pre-titles sequence as well.

Nice to see Dom doing that shoot with that Robin Hood actor on crutches. How about an injured celeb feature for the magazine? However, you'd need another injured celeb as well, now who could that be?

I really like Ingrid finding her personality very likeable but I did,nt quite understand how she managed to stay over Dean..? Could it be that Ingrid was better connected maybe? They said that Dean could not write for toffee well neither of the three lined up for the sack could write according to Janet and Joe however, I feel that Dean has been pretty low profile on the programme unless I have missed something all along....Ingrids personality has been very much upfront for the series as has Dom Joly moreso I feel than the others put together..perhaps its just the way I have taken it on board.

I will likely miss this programme when its over, its one of the most interesting on at the moment.

Unfortunately, Aisleyne doesn't appear in Deadline magazine in today's Closer magazine. If you still want to take a look, then you can also download it here...

Again, no Aisleyne in the pre-titles sequence. However, there's only one show left now, so it's no big deal.

I reckon Iwan is going to win the £50,000 prize. Darryn Lyons certainly liked his pictures of Roland Rivron (should've got Aisleyne in instead ).

It's the final episode tonight. Who will win the £50,000? Dom, Iwan, Yvette or Ingrid? Perhaps Dom, as he was the only one of the four to take a photo of Aisleyne!

Yes, I think it was the right choice. Definitely the right last two between him and Yvette. You'd definitely be happy to have either of them on your team wouldn't you?

And d'ye think Ash now has competition for Rear of the Year. Or at least for Bumflash of the Month, anyway?

I noticed that in her interview with Yvette, Nancy Sorrell was critical of the Size-zero business. And Nancy's not fat either.

Wonder if Aisleyne and Nancy discussed size-zero vs being fat while they were boogying at the OK! do tonight? My ears WERE burning earlier.

It was Blair and Dom, but I don't know whose pic was used.

I think Blair's was used in the mag, as Dom's were all done sneakily.

Anyway, I see that one of Ingrid's pictures has made it into the Big Pictures blog...

Any chance of Blair's Aisleyne photos getting in there too?
