With regard to the "Surprise Celebrity DJ", the word is that there will now be at least two, and possibly three, celebrity DJ's spinning the decks at Aisleyne's Book Launch Party on Wednesday.

Apparently things are reaching fever pitch at Aisleyne Ltd HQ ahead of tonight's launch party.

We are told to keep an eye open for the media board and especially for Aisleyne's blue designer dress.

It's currently expected that about 200 will be attending - even allowing for no-shows from acceptances. Media attendance is believed to be approaching 90 people.

No advance news on celebs attending. In general,it seems that not many BB people have been invited, with some "obvious exceptions". For example, I would expect that everyone's favourite BB twins will be there.

Seems there are some blokes there as well.

Charlie Brooker, Nate James and Jordan Livingstone to name but three.

Ash spent the first half hour giving interviews to the press.

Ms Marsh looks remarkably good too, doesn't she? She must have recognised she needed to pull out all the stops to compete with her "hostess with the mostest".

Trust you to draw attention to that!

Inevitably, Sky Showbiz, also spotted the same "wardrobe malfunction" , but that apart they devote a very friendly and comprehensive gallery to the event. They also like the dress and there are some decent views of the bookcover on the media board.
Also includes some pics of the other guests, including nice ones of Imogen and (can't believe I'm saying this!) Jodie M.

Crikey! An (almost) entirely positive feature about the launch plus lots of pics in the Daily Mail online ! Even the boob slip gets only very mild daily mail sniffiness.

Also pics of Jodie, Imogen and DJ Ironik, and they refer to Katriona as "one of Amy Whitehouse's best friends"

But they've used the Reveal article to indicate the book's content, so they get the title wrong again, and refer to it by the "working title"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1178223/Letting-hang-G...

ETA: I should have known better. If you are puzzled by my over-positive analysis above, that's because the Daily Mail has now reverted to type and re-written the story to beef up the snobby sniffiness to proper Daily Mail proportions. Some poor sub-editor has presumably been railroaded for being far too nice about Aisleyne!

About the dress. It was gorgeous, but perhaps more thought should have gone into the storage capacity of the upper department?

Ok I am going to be honest about all this.

I think Aisleyne's hair and make-up looks stunning. The colour of her dress suits her, but personally if I was her mate I would have suggested something a little more demure for her book launch. Also I would have left certain people off the guest list. They have slated and ridiculed her, nothing has changed since Big brother. But now it's like they feel obligated......

I actually thought Aisleyne's days of glamour of this sort were behind her ,,,,,,again it is really her choice.

Now the reaction from most is typical really.......I hate when they slate her like this, but it is up to Ash what she does. I didn't realise there were so many perfect people in the world (Her hatersI am referring to) ......

Don't be mad at me.

I know what you're saying but I doubt it will do her any harm in terms of book sales. In fact, it'll probably boost them

I certainly don't agree about the guest list. Offhand, I can't think of anyone on the list who has actively slated her but one of Aisleyne's strengths is her forgiving nature. There's nothing to be gained by holding grudges.

Regards

Julian

Bad news: Aisleyne's launch dress features in Sky Showbiz "Worst Dressed" gallery (*ducks to avoid plates thrown at me by Aisleyne*)

http://showbiz.sky.com/weeks-worst-dressed-88

The "other" news? Imogen's launch party outfit makes the "Best Dressed" gallery.

Sorry, Ash, I'm only "keepin' it real" y'know. And at least it shows you were noticed (*ducks to avoid another plate*)

Aisleyne (metaphorically) gatecrashes Nikki's book launch in the Daily Mail online.

That august journal has revised its opinion and now says that Aisleyne's launch is now only the "second tackiest" following Ms Grahame's equivalent bash last night.

So that's good then?

Well, yes really, given the fact that Aisleyne's name appears in the headline, there's a pic of her in the article and the book (STILL wrongly titled!) gets another plug!

Link (if you dare)

PS. I accept no responsibility for any revisons which may be made to this article by the Daily Mail at a later date.

Yeah, but they've also got Aisleyne saying it's a pop-up book , so they're WELL off the pace, innit?

Though at least they got the title right ..... eventually.

"Aisleyne: The Recession and Me" could in fact be her next book. How to buy a house in favourable market conditions; shopping thriftily at Lipsy and Primark; Surviving on frozen food; Wearing a dress back to front (yes, we did see that Aisleyne!), how to work creatively with accessories like big belts, huge earrings, 101 things to do with an old guitar etc etc

Article on Closer website about both signings, and they ask for comments about which one you want to buy

Picture is of Jodie M giving Ash some cake with Book Cover cake in front.

Great pics!

Charlie B is dressed to impress isn't he? Somehow I get the impression he was dragged kicking and screaming to the media board by his host.

Apparently Ash was mad at him for being unshaven! (Acknowledgment to adamski on LC)

Wanna dress like Aisleyne's launch dress?

Definitely NOT Topshop this time!

Can you spot it? (Clue: Resort Collection) Click on thumbnail for details.

Gulp! At the price, that is :-)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1179700/Amy-Winehouse-...

Look who else was wearing this very dress at the weekend?

P.S. Myself and ofni both did a bit of work on identifying this coincidence? Or was it?

There's an article about Jodie Marsh in this week's Closer magazine. Most of the pics are from the book launch, and one of them (with her new boyf) is in front of that good ol' media board!

There's much more substantial coverage with pics and report in Reveal magazine, which I've posted about in the Press forum

New! magazine also has an article about Jodie Marsh, similar to the one in Closer mag.

Slightly better, in that it explicitly mentions Aisleyne's book launch, and the pic of Jodie in front of the media board is bigger, so Ash and the book title are nicely visible. Product placement strikes again!
