I have always wanted to go to Glastonbury and for some reason it has always eluded me...but its food for thought now that I have heard it mentioned a few times already....Maybe I might just think about it....anyway...I have my reasons...lol...

Purely out of interest, will there be any dates for that?

As Aisleyne's going as a VIP Guest, understand that there is separate backstage accommodation etc provided.

A girl needs a clean, warm and dry place where she can frequently change her clothes and touch up her war paint.

Believe there are helicopter landing facilities for VIP's, if Ash decides to arrive in style.

However, if Aisleyne tells me that she's busy packing her tent and polishing her hiking boots, I'll be sure to pass on that info.

As I didn't know, the answer, I asked (though still really none the wiser!):

"Erm, not sure, the tickets are BBC hospitality but Charlie is going to write
about it all for The Guardian, so its slightly confusing!!
All will be clear Monday..."

I'm intrigued as to the public/private mix of this visit to Glastonbury by Aisleyne. Well done to her for getting a VIP Guest invite from the BBC via her mate Charlie B., and I'm sure she'll be having a great time seeing the acts, partying etc etc. I take it though that the fact there's a fair amount of news and comment about it on this site means that there is quite a strong "public" (ie publicity) component to it all as well.

If nothing else, it would seem to be a fantastic networking opportunity, with a high "see-and-be-seen-factor" (hopefully including some TV/radio/press appearances). Will BP be around to get some "entirely spontaneous" photo-opportunities?

Good luck with that! The BBC alone have three channels covering it, four radio stations, the BBCi coverage, and the Internet coverage.

Some fascinating Charlie Brooker facts for you all:

His real name is Charlton, but he likes to call himself Charlston
His first cartoon creation was a rat called Cedric the b*****d
He is creative director of production company Zeppotron, which he co-founded
He is a registered misanthrope, and needs medication on a regular basis

Some of the above facts aren't true!

According to the latest Celebdaq news, Prince William is going to Glasto.

I wonder if that's because of "someone" he met at the polo who he knows is going to be there?

I just saw the BBC lunchtime news coverage of the event and it looks very wet and muddy! However, they showed some people in a VIP area and they looked quite happy and clean.

So let me get this right. Aisleyne is at Glastonbury as a VIP guest of the BBC.

Which is funded by TV license payers i.e. me.

So I can truly claim that Ash has had a drink on me this week-end.

OK, Aisleyne, if and when we ever get to meet, it's YOUR turn to get the drinks in, right?

A somewhat "cryptic" reference to Charlie and Aisleyne in the Guardian's Glastonbury blog, in the context of the arrival of Moss/Doherty.

Charlie's filed his article from Glasto.

Read it and weep. I did

http://music.guardian.co.uk/glastonbury2007/story/0,,2110642,00.htm...

I hope Ash's tent survived the trip...

Thanks! I've glimpsed at the article on Press Display too and there's a nice big picture of Charlie and Aisleyne together with the article. I'll definitely be buying that tomorrow.

I've opened a thread in Press Coverage...

Surprise surprise.

Guess who heads up NWdaily's Glasto gallery.

Lily Allen?
Dame Shirley Bassey?
Kate/Pete?
Amy Winehouse?

Nope.

Clue? Think Che Guevara.......

Yes, it makes a nice change from having to fold the Daily Star (or worse still the Sport) inside my Daily Mail to go to the checkout - then they wave the thing around on the barcode where everyone can see it!

You too can buy Aisleyne's tent --->

Maybe not worth it after the less than glowing endorsement in Charlie's piece, though.

It's 5p cheaper than Aisleyne paid! Maybe they've dropped the price a bit to offset the bad publicity.

I'm sure it would be fine as long as there wasn't any weather.

That'a a really funny article from Charlie.
I'm glad Ash seemed to enjoy herself after the tent incident. Hopefully she was allowed into Charlie's cottage for the other nights.

Charlie's article made me laugh. The fact that he felt comfortable enough to criticise Aisleyne's choice of tent seems an indication that they are pretty good friends. Ash appears to have enjoyed herself when she wasn't crying in her leaky tent.

I notice that NWdaily used one of these pics, and there is now a restriction on them limiting further usage to USA only. So maybe one or more of them will be appearing in a mag sometime soon?

From the latest Holy Moly mailout, it looks like Nikki Grahame didn't have it quite as easy as Aisleyne (well, ignoring the Argos tent incident)...

http://www.holymoly.co.uk/mailout.html

Mud and sl**s

One welcome sight at the recent Glastonbury mudbath was the sight of an on-the-edge Z-list celebrity staggering round knee-deep in the sucking mud, trying to keep her wellies from being dragged off at every step.

It was clear that the starlet was close to tears, despite the fact she was wearing sunglasses with lenses the size of truck windshields in the pouring rain. Seemingly alone, she would stop occasionally and look to the skies, as though asking why God had forsaken her, before her hateful little slit of a mouth crumpled into a tearful grimace once again.

The owner of the mouth? 'Big Brother' legend and gnome-a-like Nikki Grahame, who unfortunately (probably due to an administrative oversight or sheer karma) failed to be issued with a VIP or backstage pass, and was forced to endure the conditions with the rest of the 'civilians'.

She went to the 'ballers after-party, like Ash (to get in the papers?)
She was on Sky News, just like Ash
She was on Big Mouth, just like Ash
She's got a BB column in a magazine, just like Ash
Unbelievably she's taking up DJ-ing, like Ash (don't laugh, oh alright laugh!)

I'm glad Ash had a fabulous time at Glastonbury, it pays to have friends in the business...
I am glad she was able to do a write up in the Guardian supplement who'd have thought.

I've just been catching up on reading and I wanted to respond to the above post..

I was thinking this the other day. I notice Nikki has finally got an official website, called Nikki Grahame with special in the front of her name. (Personally Lucky would have been a better word) I was reading it the other day as I was intrigued. What do I stumble across.....she would love her own clothing range and that she's planning to go to fashion college..to prove how serious she is.....(Now there's a surprise.....)

Now is that just a mere co-incidence or what....

I'm just glad Ash has the experience behind her and it's in the family....

End of subject as this site is about Ash
