"Everything comes in threes", they say, and so it proved when Aisleyne
attended her third film premiere in as many weeks on April 8th.
After "The Bounty Hunter" in the West End and "Shank" in Brixton, this time
Aisleyne, together with her girlfriend Brooke, headed for Hammersmith where the
red carpet was rolled out at the Apollo for the premiere of "The Infidel". This
"comedy of ethnic proportions" was written by David Baddiel and stars (among
others) Matt Lucas (as a rabbi!) and Omid Djalili as a muslim who discovers he
is actually Jewish!
Aisleyne certainly enjoyed the evening and the film. "We had the BEST night!
I highly recommend that you watch it, it's hilarious!"
It goes without saying that Aisleyne had the snappers snapping as she posed
her way along the red-carpet in a short but sophisticated ruched dress in
midnight-blue with feature shoulder-pads. At the far end of those long legs - or
"toned gams" as one observer put it - were some grey peep-toe boots which are
very much the "footwear du jour", we understand. Both items from River Island,
by the way. Her hair was styled in an asymmetric loose updo of the kind she has
favoured on a number of her recent outings.
There was a large turnout of celebrity attendees. Stars from the film itself
included writer David Baddiel and Omid Djalili, and a wider comedy roll-call
included Ruby Wax, David Mitchell, Frank Skinner and Miranda Hart. Another Big
Brother representative was BB10 winner Sophie Reade who was there with her "good
friend" George (son of Gary) Lineker. Aisleyne's recent "restaurant hosts"
Vanessa Feltz and Ben Ofoedu were there too - but we have no information on
whether the subject of "transport caffs" was discussed!
Also among the stars attending was Aisleyne's friend Dizzee Rascal. "We had a
nice long catch-up chat, 'cos we hadn't seen each other for a while", Aisleyne
told us. She didn't say whether they had told each other to "fix up look sharp"
though.
Aisleyne also thoroughly enjoyed the after-party, even though she remained
strictly sober as she had driven to the event (in her brand-new black Mercedes
SLK - lucky girl!). Which is probably just as well, as that did mean she was
level-headed enough to cope with some strong advances by a certain professional
footballer who was VERY keen to wine and dine her and, well, you get the
picture. But of course Aisleyne has frequently been quoted as saying that she
doesn't want to be a WAG. Sorry lads!
